One has 68 Mother of Pearl Inlays; the other has 40 Ivory inlays. For the "right" price, I'm sure that I would part with one of these babies.

Of all the cue makers out there, I am actively seeking to purchase Showman cues.
Strange thing to say Eric.....I have been buying Showman cues for many years now and not one of those cues I have owned I would consider below par or even average...they have all been outstanding. John is top 5 in the world easy.

John's cues have always been very well-crafted.
I know some of the 1st cues He built were constructed with
Burton Spain full-splice blanks...

perhaps i'm confused, i just thought his cosmetic improvments on his cues are better that 5 years ago, the "Shoman" font in the 50's look is cool, and the propellors have a nice touch to them. He is among he best cue makers in the game right now and has been for sometime now, and not only that he aint aint a bad guys either

Its your use of the word 'improvement'. Your post kind of implied there were either structural or finish improvements to John's cues now over what he made before. That is not the case, what you meant were cosmetic details which are always subjective anyway. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So not really improvements as such.
