I did broadcast the APA Tricup from here. The bandwidth was as low as you can go and still get a stream out. I was using standard definition video at that time. I have not streamed from there using HD Video.

I really want to cover this event, But Charlie wants me to pay him AND advertise for his sponsors. I wish streaming could afford those kind of arrangements! :shocked:

My wheels ARE turning though.

Ray, the financial trade off with Dragon Promotions must be a win for you also. Because we as viewers do not PPV the event, you should receive a percentage of the cost Charlie will receive from the sponsors in order for you to stream the event.

This is a reason great people like yourself and others who give so much towards the sport struggle financially. The hard facts are that Charlie is trying to make as much money as possible, stream the event, and get sponsorship viewers. If you pay to broadcast the events for Dragon,you are broadcasting banner placements around the arena gratis anyway. You should be compensated for that visual advertising. They should also pay you for the companies that want individual graphic sponsor clips that you stream,just like the other's who have been with you since the beginning.

I really enjoy what you have done with the streams, and watched you and Glenn work the White Diamond's Tournaments. I am one of the firm believers that Streaming is the future for pool, not television. If they or we want to use your medium, we must all be willing to pay for your services. Thank You for all you are doing for Pool.

I agree. One of the biggest problems that I encounter soliciting business is this..... There are so many people out there that setup a laptop and a camera, drink heavily and provide no commentary or pointless commentary. The advertisers think I am just another one of those. Many promoters don't want to try and convince their sponsors otherwise. TV doesn't have this problem.

Hopefully we can work something out. I think this event would be a great vehicle to advertise.

+1 for Carl. I agree 100%.

Ray and Glenn(Along with others im sure) have done GREEAT things for and with Pool Streaming. They get real stats, talk the game correctly, and get great guest commentators.

I would think that they should do as Carl said. That would be 100% in their best interest IMO.

This IS an awesome room!! Keith & Lisa are the best too!

The tables are in top condition. They just put ridge back rails on all the tables and they bank perfect! The Pros will play on Tournament Edition Gold Crown V's!

If they had a bunk house, you would never have to leave Emeralds! LOL. The food is great and reasonably priced. Plenty of room for seating and realxing in between matches.

I hope you get the gig. But all in all Charlie has and always will be a *****, and 95% of Floridians would agree upon this......Outsiders that dont know him usually he makes think otherwise.

Where would be a good place to stay for Friday and Saturday night for this Tourney?

I got a 3 star on Priceline for 37 in Lafayette for the White Diamond event. Thats 20 minutes away though. Try New Iberia!

haha...no worries....you ought to know by now that 90% of the stuff that comes out my mouth is b/s..but on a serious note...I sure hope this tournement does well & is the start off something...would be a win win all the way around if would become one of the few tourney's that every pool player has on their must do list.
