Top 10 bar table players in your state

He still plays

I didnt know that Lee was still in MN. I grew up playing in the same room as him in Rapid City, South Dakota. Its been a long time since Ive seen him, last time I saw him he was playing really strong. If you see him around tell him Wayne says hi. :D

Cheers
Wayne

They don't let him play in the tournaments in Minn. I only know part of the story. He plays real good still..................

I'll take a stab at Wisconsin

Maybe Geno's too humble to make a list so here's my humble opinion:

Larry Nevel * when he's here and not in the Carolinas
Jeff Carter
Little John
Dave C.
Gene A.
Randy L.
Duncan K.
Billy L.
Craig P.
Troy J.

There are about 10 other guys that I want to put on that list but don't know who to take off

take billy off and put in jamie welch and chad debrukre(sp?) , steve hayes

Marc Oelslager lives where? Wherever it is, Minnesota or South Dakota I can't imagine him not being in the top 10.

Randy Hanson probably should be on that list for Minnesota too.

For Illinois, Tom McCluskey certainly belongs on that list.

I could keep going I see some glaring ommissions.

you got it all wrong Frosty! I'm from Des Moines:wink:

Doh!

You're right about Chad. I'll take Troy off the list as he's not really in the pool scene anymore. As much as it pains me to say, after Billy won his 2nd straight state title, I think he deserves a nod over Steve (is he still playing?).

As for Billy vs Jamie W, that I think comes down to personal opinion as well table (Diamond vs. Valley) and game (8ball or 9ball). Like I said just my 2 cents.

Richie and Tony you have to count out. Ronnie is a Canadian citizen that spends most of his time when not on the road in Mich, so he is debatable. Mark and Shawn- well, we play pretty even, I have a winning record on them, and I would not put any of us 3 in the top ten. Sorry, but that killed half your list.
Hey Neil, screw this list. Since we play pretty even we should get together and play some. Sooner rather than later. Shawn

Game could go either way, and you know it. All I know, is that I have beaten you in tournaments more times than you have beaten me. But, it is close. Boils down to the break and those pesky little rolls that can mean so much. Right now I'm low on funds because I have been out of work for 2 years. But, If you want to come down and play some on bragging rights, that's fine with me. No skin off my back either way. Was just stating my opinion.

Are you going to say that you think you are now in the top ten in the state???

I know there has been threads about best and top 10 players in your state. But I have yet to see one just for the bar table only.It has become such a huge part of pool I thought a state by state list would be interesting to see.IMO.
Here's mine but not in any order.
1-Beau Runningen
2-Jimmy "The Kid" Wetch
3-Demi Jelatis
4-Mario Parayano
5-Lee Heuwagon
6-Jason Kubiszewski
7-Jamie Pluta
8-Tony Zierman
9-Tony Hilla
10- Derek McMasters/Tim Tonjum

There is a few that could be on any given day.

:killingme: Thanks, i'll take that as a no. I said screw the list. Not sayin i'm top ten on my road but i'll play you anytime. Let me know if anyone wants to stake you or Oz.

I know if Scott Tollefson still lived in MN he'd have made my list..

u know whats realy scary is he may be last on my list if I put them in order
there is some real strong players on that list ,
although he is capable and has won turnys with all of them in it exept danny and keith
he is a great player and mabe a better person, he beat me 9-0 and then told me how good i played , I looked at him and laughed and said I dont know how u know that I never shot:eek:

The smoke kept me from palying in WI.......

Hey Geno,
I know you know quite a bit about Wisconsin as well. Who do you think would be top ten here? And by the way you have to be somewhere on that list.

I quit playing from 99 to about 2008. I tried to play some in 2007 in Missouri but my health was terrible. Once i started playing again I avoided Wisconsin like the plague because of the smoke. Everytime I tried to play in the smoke it was a waste of time. After about 3 or 4 hours of it I just wanted to leave I would feel so bad.

I have traveled to the twin cities to play smoke free for the last year. I'm almost more from Minn. when it comes to pool than Wis.

I would have the list wrong because there is a new pecking order and some of the guys I don't even know.

Now that there is no smoking in Wis as of july 5th I will be going to some wis. tournys. I was down to Top Shots in La Crosse last week and it was like heaven. The place looked so clean I couldn't believe it.

Anyway, now that there is no smoking i plan on shaking up that there pecking order in Wis. Should be alot of fun.

If I made a list I'm afraid it would be inaccurate. But I hope whoever makes the list that I'm in it.

I couldn't even come up with ten, but here's a few names in no particular order:
1. Buddy hall
2. James barraks(sry not sure how to spell his name.)
3. Jesse bowman
4. Mike bandy
5. Jeff sergent
I'm sure there's plenty of others. Any other names from Illinois jump out?

Ike Runnels comes to mind...

And since I know a lot of the guys just across the Il/Wi border
I would chime in with a few. Claudio Parrone, Steve Hayes
and Dobrozynski (sp?) from Madison...
