Too busy for my liking.

I'm a multiple-veneer, ebony or rosewood 4-pointer into birdseye or curley maple, no inlays, and with ivory Hoppe ring kinda guy. Simple but elegant.

Russ I gotta say that it is a nice looking cue, however, I am uncertain that all the White on that cue is Ivory. The inlays that are close-up look like an Ivory Substitute to me similar to what Meucci used for a while. I kinda think the cue is a production cue and possible an import, now I could be wrong on all points but unless I had it in my hands and could examine it I would not buy it as anything else.

I think it is an interesting design kind of a cross between older Jacoby and newer viking IMO. For being busy it still is appealing to me. I would have to agree with Manwon though, without having it in hand or knowing the lineage I would treat is as a import production cue.

Hi Craig..... The cue is defiantely a custom and all white in the cue is ivory. The JP's are not ivory. The cue was made by my buddy for a friend of his.

Hope you're well!!

Russ...

Not sure who made it but like someone already mentioned, it screams production cue. If it isn't, why would someone with the skills to build such a nice looking cue not sign their name instaed of just plain lettering? It obviously has LUXE is on the side of it, so are you asking a trick question becasue if not I'm sure there are quite a few people who know who made the cue desides me. I gotta say though, it is a nice looking piece though. Have you shot with it and give us a little feedback on it?

The white diamonds shown close up, are not Ivory. they are a synthetic. Helmstetter cues used the same product in many of their cues.

that is ivory...not my cue but its cut with the grain showing the schreger lines...not against the grain showing the cross hatch that we are used to seeing...just wanted to clear that up.

here is a pic of one of mine showing the same thing.

The thing about this cue that intrigues me is that it has 7 points. How does someone index a cue to 7 positions?

Thats a beauty! I still say the other cue used the same stuff as found in the Helmstetter cues. Made to resemble the look of the ivory used in your cue. Once you see an example of say an 86-10 helmstetter, you'll see why I say this. I may be mistaken, but I really don't think so.

Sorry guys, the title is misleading. I didn't write it up very well!..

The cue is custom made by Luxe Cues and all white except the J/P's is ivory.

I was looking more for input on the cue than who made it.

Sorry about that....:sorry:

I made it

Not sure what makes it look like a production cue but I do appreciate the feedback so far. And I can guarantee that all white on cue and shafts are ivory except the ferrules because the person that has the cue didn't want Ivory ferrules.
Also if you look at the shafts and joint area the rings are machined into the shaft and upper cue. Not round rings normally found on most cues that get glued on to a tenon.
Again thanks for the feedback.
