Here is the cue I submitted to the AZ Cue Build-off.
Melissa Little, the only pro player to critique the cues,
awarded it the title of "BEST OVERALL".
The core is one piece purple heart, the pin G-10. Collars, butt sleeve & trim rings are phenolic. Forearm and butt sleeve are dyed BE maple and the handle is dyed tiger maple. The shaft is maple w/a Katalox insert, Ivorine 4 ferrule and triangle tip. Weight was 19.2 oz's. A cue built similar in construction to this can be purchased for around $300, depending on the wood choice.

Congrats Bob,

I know first hand Bob's cues are great. He built me a custom to my specs and I just LOVE it. Anyone in the market for a great cue at a great price should look Bob up he will treat you right.

Hi Charles: Thanks for the kind words. Hope your cue is still serving you well.
I still have enough of that old growth curly Brazilian Rosewood to make two
cues if anybody is interested.

if these cues are 300,they will easly be the best buy for the dinero

thats what I was thinking, its great that a player can get a "real" cue for less that $1000, Back in the late 80's to the mid 90's it was hard to find a true custome cue comming out of a small shop for less than $750-$1000.

Now THIS is one reason I wanted to do the build off........to help cuemakers get thier names out there so they could sell some cues!

This thread really made my day. I am very happy that by doing the build off, it has helped out the cuemakers. That is honestly the main reason I did it....well, and of course to be able to try out a Denali cue for free

Anybody that has any doubts about Bobs cues can rest assured, he will take care of you, and you will be happy with the cue he makes you!
