I'm not going to name who built my case because I don't want ti hijack this thread, but I have a 8X4 butterfly style case, I'm telling this to illustrate what a well thought out case can hold(it's not the one on YouTube-that's a different brand) I can put my player cue, break cue, hagar extension, lomax jump cue, cue ball, my knife, .380 gun, powder, chalk, tip tools, gum, $10,000 cash. And still have room for another cue. And its not over stuffed at all, my point is a well thought out case can do so much more than just hold a couple cues. I am going to have John build me a case someday. I would recommend John to anyone looking for a case. I saw the Mosconi Cup cases he built a few years back, they are the stone cold nuts and he is a better case maker these days!!! Cases are fun to design, not just buy off the rack.

PS the gun does fit perfectly in my case but I don't awalys carry it, just depends where I'm going. But I awalys have a blue circle rock in my case.

This reminds me of a story when I owned Instroke. One year at a one of the shows a guy comes in the booth and he motions for me to come over to him. I do and he says he needs to talk to me in private. I say ok and finish up with the customers and block off the entrance to the booth to talk to him.

He shows me his gun and asks if I have a case where it will fit in the pocket. I say I don't know let's try one. So we try the Cowboy style which has a side zipper and a flap where the pocket opens pretty wide.

His gun fits perfectly and he plays with the pocket for a few minutes to assure himself that he could get to it easily enough and he buys the case.

I have no idea what kind of gun it was. Small I think since the pockets are not very big.

John the 1911 the Gentleman Spoke of in .45 ACP CAL. is a Big Gun.

Also 1911 looses reliability as they get smaller. I would get a Glock 30,

IN .45 ACP CAL. it is very reliable, and will fit nice in to most of you Cases, like the Flower Tribute CASE! Glock are Butt UGLY, but work when called upon to do so.

The Colt Government, or Army Model I pictured above is IMHO a 7 Yard Gun. most soldiers can not hit crap out past 300 yards, your reference to a mile is very funny.
 
Yep, most shootings take place at or within 6 feet. i don't need a super accurate pistol for that.

However I don't think I would ever carry a .380 What ever I hit I want to stop.

I love John and crews work he is a pleasure to deal with . I was lucky enough to win the free case in the essay contest and John built me a case beyond my expectations and delivered it . Easy to deal with and stands behind his work. I agree he is a master not afraid to try new things... I would of posted more but have been on the road...
