All -
I picked this cue up and fell in love with it. It has super birdseye and absolutely gorgeous veneers. It had been with the same player for years and years and needed a refinish and tips.
I sent the cue off to Rick Howard for a complete refinish and it turned out awesome. The veneers as you see, POPPED and the colors make for a great looking cue.
The butt has a ring that is a larger version of the joint rings. Again, never seen anything like it before.
Rick Howard said this cue is at least 20 years old and absolutely straight as a string. He said, "If nothing has moved in the last 20 years dont expect it move now!"
I spared no expense on cue, and had Moori tips put on, when I had the cue completed. Rick said he was saving this Irish Linen back for a special cue, and felt this cue deserved it. He said that the linen was 20-25 years old, and it feels a little different than the linen typically used today.
The shafts are 13mm and weigh 3.73 oz, and 3.75 oz respectively. The butt weighs 15.895 oz, making the cue come in at about 19.6 oz and feels very, very solid.
The balance and feel of the cue tells me why Truman Hogue and others play with Jensen cues.
I will let it go for $1500 or best offer. Trades up or down considered, but best deal of course comes with CA$H.
