Would like to trade a full splice CA$H cue for a GC(I.II.III)or similar, delivered and set up in my home in Jackson,TN. The approximate value of the cue is $1600, what ya got? PM me with your proposal.

The only problem I see with your offer, is that I know I can sell the GC3 with in 3 days of offering it for sale and have 10 buyers, but how long would it take to sell that cue if I wanted to sell it, and would I get the $1,600 back?

Fair question Glen. My contention is once you have our cue in your hands you will not want to sell. Stop by and examine it before you hook me up. I have a barbox now, so you can give it a spin.

Maybe a III is pushing it, but I did say a I or II, or similar, so the window is open as to what model.

Example:

If you had something similar to these 2 tables, brought it to me and set it up with new cloth and rail rubber , you would make out like a Bandit!

Being just a dumb table mechanic...what's the retail value of that cue you're offering in trade?

Glen, we have one pricing structure, so the price is the retail/wholesale price. Your price would be the same as anyone else who ordered/bought a CA$H cue.

Think about this for a second. Both of the tables you listed were on an auction, starting price of $500 each...now that's the starting price...not the sale price, that's a different story. Lets say I had a table I traded some labor for, labor being say $500...say a GC2 9ft, and the condition was in great shape.

Now, looking at the condition of the table, I value it at $1,000 if I were to just dump it off as is at someone's house. Now, this someone says I'll take the table for the $1,000 but I life 750 miles away, and I'd like new cushions, new cloth, pockets tightened up to 4 1/2" delivered and set up.

OK, well first of all there's the delivery cost of .50 cents a mile in diesel, that's $750 round trip, plus my charge for "fixing" the table up with materials, that's another $1,500...added all together...that $500 table now has an actual retail value of $2,350 at a low ball price because I could have marked it up even more by a $1,000 as that's what most GC2's are selling for.

But lets take the $2,350 value, that's real money....meaning I can do that any day of the week.

Now, on the other hand, you're interested in trading a $1,600 retail value cue for my table and services...valued at a low $2,350...in real money...and trade straight across for a cue that if resold...would be hard pressed to get the same retail value as the maker of the cue?

I guess I'd see this "trade" as more valueable if the "trade" cue was worth say...$3,500...but you were willing to trade it for a table of equal value....

meaning inflated dollars vs inflated dollars. ;)

Glen

PS, I guess what I'm trying to say is that it would take me all of about 1 day to find someone to buy a GC1,2, or 3 from me for $2,500 but to find someone to rebuy that "Cash" cue for $1,600...might not happen at that price...unless I was "Cash" cues myself;) And when you say "retail/wholesale"...are you trying to say that at "wholesale"...I can sell the cue for even more than what I bought it for?

This trade would work better if you already had a GC, and wanted to trade a $1,600 cue for work performed to rebuild the GC into a players table...then that would be more of an equal trade...as you already have the table...and wanted to trade "services for services"

Glen

My proposal is simple and I am very close to Memphis, a major through-way. You can pick up a cue of exceptional quality and craftsmanship that is worth more than the asking price as you pass through for your regular work, if you are interested.

Pretty sure one of those links had a "buy it now" price of $500, not a starting price. Also, I'm very sure that the standard rule on these forums is "if you don't like the offer, don't knock it, just move along."

Back where I'm from....this is called negotiating, you must be fairly new on AZ...or you'd know what my services are worth...when it comes to pool tables, but that's OK:thumbup:;)

If I could be in the area at the time you want to donate, yes I'd help...at no cost;)

Well, we will ship it to those kids when you stop by to pick up your cue and deliver my table! Now I could go with one of those GC1's on the bay, but if I buy I still need you to p/u and deliver. If I understand you correctly, you would then pro it up for me the way only you can customize a table?
