get bored to easily, but addicted?

i play very good pool, but get bored way to easily. i swear i have A.D.D. im one of those guys that dont need the money and dont have a big ego. so my thirst is not there 100% of the time. what can i do to get my attention spand there? i could gamble, but no one in town will play me for anything except the few big dogs that i know i cant keep up in the long run. i dont need the money but i dont like giving it away either. how can u love the game so much but be bored with it? anyone out there like me?

i am with you 100% i cant stay at the table for much longer then 30 min...
i would say im above average skill level 8-9 hadicap out of 11(pro) depending on the tournament, i will gamble with anyone i think i can keep pace with, i dont like giving weight unless its one or 2 games or maybe one ball... getting weight seems easier for me to handle for some reason:grin-square:

i do have A.D.D. and that does not help! it really doesnt help when i am trying to focus on a match! :o

i put a table in my place just recently and i hope this will help me sharpen my game again (even one or 2 racks a day to keep the stroke alive) and keep me more attentive durring matches... i will let you know if it works..

Play straight pool.
This game nourishes an attention span...
..like a monk doing his chants
 
if you are worried about the better players beating you and taking your money, try to see how much weight they will give you to make it interesting and you could do that for the players that cant beat you. The weight makes the game easier for the weaker opponent and tougher for the stronger player. Hope this helps a little.
 
If a challenge doesn't meet your needs in town go to other towns. It can become boring playing and beating the same people time after time. I'm sure eventually, you'll meet your match.
