plane jane ebony ring work

im pretty laid back i like skinny maple or holly rings mainly white or some thing light to go with the black recently i was making a plain jane (warped to hell and back:angry:) ebony cue and at all the ring locations i had maple and purple rings 3 maple and 2 purple between them looked really sharp!

im going to remake it in the future.:grin:

any pictures of the rings?

why'd the cue warp? weather change or something?
 
no i didnt had bought a pile of ebony off ebay a while back and it was wet as #$@# and i thought i had it dried out enough but ..... :mad:
but as much as i would like to balme ebay it was my own fault for not stabilizing the wood and letting it dry out for longer in my light bulb kiln.

i choped the cue up and made some ebony joint collars and but caps and a few other pieces i hardly ever let anything go to waste ill try and post up pics when i re create it

Saw one that had Zebrawood rings, sided by black linen, and either nickel silver, or brass. Can't remember which metal, but I remember thinking how cool the zebrawood looked in contrast to the dark wood/ebony. :cool:
