Ahhh...Brass Tap, lots of good memories from that room.
Back in oh...'93 or so, I had the pleasure of getting drummed by the Pearl then had to meet up with Archer on the loser's side....not a good Saturday for me.

Anyway, when I first read this thread I wondered if it was Allison or Kelly, kind of figured it wasn't the former.

I'm curious, has anyone here matched up with Kelly?

On paper she should beat this guy with the spot but the pressure of the 6 games on the wire did get to her imo. Based on my knowledge of the two players the spot is fair on the table they were playing on (pro-cut Diamond). If they were playing on a bucket table the guy would have no chance.

I love playing on that Diamond table; I travel up there quite a bit for work. I'd still like to play on table #10 though, I hear that one is cut even tighter.

When Brass Tap put in the diamond, they moved table 10 over so it is know table 11. Yes, the Gold Crown is shimmed smaller than the diamond but the diamond still plays tighter.

Just a side note, the pizza place down the road from Brass Tap towards town serves up a great slice of pizza!!!

a good player gives gets into a game that she's supposed to win (on paper) and loses 12k and it's crazy to wonder for a second if she was dumping. the economy's in the sh*tter and money's real hard to come by.

hell even if she had half the action she'd still have made 3k. Poke N hope sounds like he was there or knows someone that was there. if he says she wasn't dumping i'll buy it. that doesn't mean i'm wrong for thinking it.

6 games on the wire is a lot of weight but i've always figured spotting balls is harder. i've noticed other players and myself tend to tighten up a little more when spotting balls.

I'm with you. I will give up games on the wire long before I'll give up a ball or 2.

Better than that you can just walk across the parking lot to the Cook Out restaurant for a great burger and shake. I miss the Tap, great place and on occasion JA will show up usually around holidays!!

backing it up? i'm guessing about what could have happened. i didn't get on here and say "i know for a fact she dumped".

tough economy, good player gets into a game that's she's supposed to win and goes off 12k only leads down a couple of paths. dogged it, dumped it, or got trapped.

attacking her character? that's only if you think that's a bad thing to do. some people got it comin'

don't act like such an over sensitive girl. in the pool world stuff like this happens and i don't see a problem with asking about it
