I was reading the NY Grind website and noticed not a single mention of NY's newest poolroom, Society Billiards. Can anyone shed some light on this? Am I looking in the wrong place?? Thanks in advance.
Is there any mention of Society Billiards (NYC) in NY Grind? If not, why?!?!?!?

Why don't you just ask Jerry or Allison about what they choose to post on their site ?

Why should NYC Grind cover Society? It seems they cover most of the bigger events in the NYC area such as the Joss and Mezz Tours and do a good job telling the who, what, when, and where. Has Society hosted a Mezz or Joss Tour or other significant regional event that they failed to cover?
Based on the Amsterdam ad on their home page I am guessing they have some sort of advertising deal with them. I think it pretty naive to think a for profit business is going to go out of its way to provide free coverage of a competitor to one of the people putting money in its pocket to survive.

I asked a simple question. For you to call me "naive" for making apparent assumptions makes me question your motives for being what appears to be rather defensive and confrontational. I guess that thinking NYC Grind was about NYC pool and pool scene. Must have been mistaken.
JCIN lives 2000 away and has been to Amsterdam twice, before Society was even open. I don't think he really cares. He was just stating some obvious observations.
Jerry does a great job of covering events all over the area. He also has some sort of deal with Amsterdam for their 'photo of the week' league night. Society has not had any tournaments so not a whole lot to cover other than "opening night". I think Asking Jerry via email would be easier since, he does not post on here.
I sent Jerry an email of my press release for my show, he put it up on his site and sent out an email the same day. Maybe Society hasnt tried? I personally don't know.
