Balabushka cue selling

What would be the best way to sell a Balabushka. Not looking for pie-in-the -sky. A fair price with the least amount of hassle. I would think a broker who has the world wide contacts may be a way. Ebay is one thought but I don't know, it scares me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The best way is to have the cue authenticated by an expert, say Pete Tascarella. Then contact collectors, Dennis Glenn, Mark Kulungian, just to name two, and ask for their offers or advice. Both these collectors can authenticate the cue as well.

Agree that step 1 is to get the LOA from Pete. You could then post in the For Sale section, or call Bill (Cornerstone) and see if he will consign. You could also call Ken, as he is actively looking for some Bushka's now with Szam or Spain forearms. Search the For Sale section for references on pricing if you like, there are about three available now.

Thanks for the reply. Yes. I have the letter from Pete I sent hm the cue a while ago. I have another I need to send him I have had for maybe 30 years. I am the second owner. It does have a Spain front but I need to send it to Pete to get the letter. I just don't want a big hassle and get screw around with people who are not really serious.

You might also talk to Don Sherman of "Sureman Cues". He's a good guy to deal with.

Thanks I am writing these down. I used to know Pete Glenn and sold him a few Balabushkas and Szambotis. He played pretty good banks. When I think of today's dollar value of all the cues I have owned it is amazing. I must have owned at least a dozen Szamboties three he made for me.
