Wanted to first introduce a very good friend of mine to the forums, Lock N Load . Lock / Willie is an old school player and one of the true "natural characters" that we are lucky to have around. Lock is just one of those people who makes going into the pool room a real treat with his natural energy and charisma. He has formed a Lock society both in Atlanta , New Orleans, and abroad. When he deemed me Mattlock it was a true feather in my cap .From what I hear the Lock society is a growing thing at Bufalo's .For those of us lucky enough to remember what a pool hall FULL of natural characters was like it is truely a honor to have Lock /Willie around talking it up and telling his tales. If you find yourself down around New Orleans and hear a tall black gentleman going on about being a lock you would find it a real treat to meet Willie and maybe if your game is strong enough you too could get inducted into the Lockhood. Matt90 AKA Mattlock BTW: Lock will be posting soon , if you are a friend of mine please make him welcome

The way you described Lock N Load(I love that handle)/Willie it reminds this old codger of several people I hadn't thought about in years. Thanks for that Matt, I mean Mattlock. I'm really looking forward to the tales you speak of.

Enlighten us please: What is the "Lock Society" about specifically? In order to be "induced into the Lockhood" would one need to first step in the box with the Master Lock himself and put together the right combination and come out victorious? (Perhaps Lock can answer these himself! ;))

When Lock makes his first post, please be so kind as to PM me with the link as I am pretty busy of late and would hate to miss greeting someone that has obviously left a very positive, favorable, and influential impression on you. I'm intrigued!

Bring forth the ...

Edit: Lock N Load ran the table before I could shoot --- no need to PM me now Matt!

Welcome, welcome, welcome. I was in posting mode while eating and see you posted before I was finished and able to hit "submit". I am certain you will find your stay here a pleasurable one and I hope to learn more then just a thing or two about this game of ours from you sir.

I look forward to your contributions to our family!

Welcome to the forum! C'mon in... Take a load off... Enjoy yourself. If anyone gives you any fuss, just fuss back with smarter words. Or, don't. But, make yourself at home!

I'm not here as much as I'd like to be, these days. I tend to be preoccupied with grandchildren and other things, but I still love the game and the people who play the game. You'll find me wandering these "halls" once in a while.

Again, welcome!

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome!

Hello Everyone,
I will learn your names in a short while. Thanks loads for making me welcome. I have been here a lot, but never joined until now. If I can be of help to anyone just ask! I am Lock N Load, Coast to Coast from New Orleans, LA. I love Nine ball, and Eight ball last pocket. One pocket is nice as well. Now Six ball is another story. If you need or want the seven and out just ask! I may give it to you?

MattLock is one of my good friends. He is a Great guy. Thanks again./

Regards,
Lock N Load.

Hello Lock-N-Load! Welcome to the azbilliards forum! I will try you some with the 7-out and the snaps! :groucho: Don't be shy! LOL Enjoy yourself here and will probably see you around the pool room soon!

Welcome Lock.... I have a few "Old School" buddies past and present from the ATL area like Stevie Moore, Chili, Dean Moore, Corky Garrett, Paul Turner, Woody, and quite a few others.

Welcome to the board.

Laissez bon temps rouler!

Matt,
It's nice to see Lock N Load posting. I knew he has been lurking on AZB for some time now. He has probably already pulled his gun and drawn a bead on most of you, so just don't go for your gun just yet without having plenty of backup and ammo.

I predict an interesting and fun exchange with this new forum member and can only say, "Laissez les bon temps rouler!"

Welcome to posting Willie! If you can somehow manage to be friends with Matt, then you must be AOK. ;) J/K! Matt's a super nice man that I've had the pleasure of meeting up with.

This lock society seems rather shrouded in mystery. Feel free to elaborate!

I hope you'll take some time and share some war stories. I bet you have quite a few to share that will intrigue us pool geeks.

Did you know a friend of mine who used to live there, Cliff "Jr." Brown, he played a little too.

I know cliff from old school back in the days when pool was really good down here in the Nawlins area! Is Cliff still around your area playing pool? If so, tell him I said hello, and hope things are going well for him!

Thanks

If you're in the Lock Society does this mean you're a lock artist? If so I'll never make it. Either way, have fun on AZ!

Thanks for the warm welcome on AZB. If you are in the Lock Society, you are a good pool player or on your way to becoming a great pool player!

Thanks for the nice welcome Joey A. I appreciate it....

I do not remember Cliff Jr.

Saw Cliff (everyone knows him by Jr. up here in Wichita) Saturday night playing in a Midwest 9 ball tour event, handicapped 9 ball. He was on the left side, but only 2 matches away from the final. It was a $2,000 added event. (I didn't find out about it till 3 in the afternoon after it started or I would have played in it too).

I will tell him hi for you.

Hello Mr. Giles,
Thanks a lot for the nice welcome. You can get the seven and out with no problem! We flip for the snaps! After the match you might want another ball! Who knows! Thanks again.

Welcome to the AZ Boards. Enjoy your stay and I will have to come over to Buffalo's to meet you considering I live in the Nawlinz. I normally play at Buca Billiards or The Big Easy. Welcome again.
