I will be in Portland the next two weeks and would like to know where the best place or places are to go watch some action or play some cheap sets.

Try Rialto's downtown. If its still there. Havn't been there in a while but its very nice. Don
Just checked, still there at 4th and Alder. Also try Sam's Hollywood billiards in NE portland.
