What match would you want to see first? this would be a all around race to 17 in 8-Ball, race to 17 in 9-Ball race to 150 in 14.1 and race to 4 in 1 pocket.

1) Earl Strickland V's Johnny Archer

2) Kieth McCready V's Jimmy Mataya

I know that there are alot of combinations to this and other options but these are the two options for now and it is part of a bigger plan. Thanksin advance,
Mark,

If you could get them mic'd up, I'd love to see the second match  Either would be fantastic though.

Put a couple lite antagoniizers & a few railbirds in the mix & get it all on tape & we'll have a real show...

Keith and Jimmy, hands down.

and the winner play Earl.

What is on the line? any cash involved?
Yeah, not alot of $$ but about 4K. I know thats not bad for a weekends work. This isNOT I repeat NOT a exhibition. They will be playing for $$$. Thats not to say that they won't be jawing at earch other. I thi9nk it would be awesome personally either way.

Like I said this is all part ofa bigger plan called "The Legends Championship Series" that I am working on. So the winner gets to move along to the next stage and get chance at more money against another Legend.

Johnny ain't a legend yet, he's too young to play these other guys exp. Mataya. Jimmy and Kieth played at dcc one year and it was a blast, they talked more $hit than a 2 dollar japanese radio.--Leonard

Johnny is still to young and of sound mind and in his prime to play in a fair match with a couple of these guy's in my opinion. A legend is what I call the other three you mentioned and Archer will be a legend when he is past his prime. Let Earl or Kieth play Johnny on a 15 second shot clock and Earl or Kieth gets ball in hand when Johnny picks lint and Johnny gets BIH if they talk just while he is shooting.--Leonard

Johnny is in the Hall of Fame. To me that makes him a Legend. JMO. However Iagree that he isyounger and more active inthe game still than the others.

How old do you have to be?

How old does one have to be to be a legend? I didn't learn to shoot pool until I was 60. I guess it is too late for me to be a legend...lol :crying:

WHAT?....Johnny is an all time legend!....don't let his age be a determining factor...the guy was on the road right out of diapers, and has been laying them to waste ever since!

I'd like to see Quake v Mataya, then Earl take on the winner.....or maybe a ring game with all of them playing......that would rule!!!

I look at it this way.....

Almost all of Jimmy's playing has never been recorded, many of us have only seen him play a few matches. Same goes for Keith. Compared to the other great players, he hasn't had many of his matches taped.

With Johnny and Earl we have hundreds of archived matches we can watch anytime.

I would probably pay up to $100 for a copy of Keith vs. Jimmy. But I might not even buy Johnny vs. Earl at all.

i agree, he is over 40 and been playing for 25 years at the highest level possible. thats a ledgend. I dont say that cause were friends, i'd say it if we wernt friends.

if your looking for fireworks.....

Have Earl and Sigel play.....they legitimately don't like each other. It was so close to happening at the open but unfortunately didn't pan out...... we got some great footage of the two of them bantering back and forth at Q Masters.....Earl said he could give Mike the 7 on a 5x10.....

it would be quite entertaining.
