My dad has a $2400 Schon with a ton of ivory and cocobolo inlaid in it. It's insanely nice. Leave it to the fellas at Schon to make skull inlays out of pure ivory.
Schon, hands down, is the best production cue. Outside of a custom cue, I don't play with anything else.
I'd have to go to my Dad's place to get my own pics, but here's the pic from the Schon website ...

Everything white is ivory.
I haven't tried a Mezz cue, but the ones i've seen looked very well made so I can't make a fair comparison to a Schon which is my top pick. I've owned a number of different Schon cues over the years and i've yet to own one that didn't play well and they all had great workmanship. I got caught up in the custom cue world and I sold my Schon cues looking for greener grass, but I still have a soft spot in my heart for Schon cues. The first one I owned was a special Schon and i've kicked myself many times for selling it, but that goes for some of the other cues i've owned also that I wish i'd hung on to. My cue budget wouldn't let me keep them all unfortunately.......

They are doing with production cues what Cheesecake Factory is doing with chain food..
I couldn't vote cause I haven't played with any of the cues on the list. :frown:

I know Lucasi isnt on the list but, I really enjoy playing with mine. I think they make good cues for the money.
yes, should have had Lucasi.
I have a Lucasi and I like it a lot. But I don't think they get enough respect to be in the poll. But for the money they are hard to beat.
yep! dollar for dollar lucasi cues are hard to beat.

how about those Player and Action??
yes, should have had Viking on the poll.

Considering Production cue manufacturer's:
Artistic Design, Quality control, consistency of playability:
Schon has established this and still keeps it up. Limited line of cues.
Mezz is right there with them. Quality control and playability is right there, if not a notch above Schon. Artistic design is subjective, I am not always crazy about all their lines of cues. They do make an excellent effort to make cues for all aspects of the game. It seems they have an excellent R&D department. I do consider them a far bigger operation then Schon, therefore they get my vote. Caroline Pao is in charge of their USA division. They have emerged as a big player within the pool community. Tours and promotions a A+++++++
Jacoby. How can you not like these guys. On the production aspect it is going to be very interesting on where they go in the next few months/years. They could be on the verge of something really great.
On a slightly lower tier but respectable I would say look out for Lucasi and Pechauer. They are both emerging as good companies that put out a well designed production cue. They both have full lines of cues and are starting to promote and sponsor players and tours.
