I know Lucasi isnt on the list but, I really enjoy playing with mine. I think they make good cues for the money.

Schon, hands down, is the best production cue. Outside of a custom cue, I don't play with anything else.

I haven't tried a Mezz cue, but the ones i've seen looked very well made so I can't make a fair comparison to a Schon which is my top pick. I've owned a number of different Schon cues over the years and i've yet to own one that didn't play well and they all had great workmanship. I got caught up in the custom cue world and I sold my Schon cues looking for greener grass, but I still have a soft spot in my heart for Schon cues. The first one I owned was a special Schon and i've kicked myself many times for selling it, but that goes for some of the other cues i've owned also that I wish i'd hung on to. My cue budget wouldn't let me keep them all unfortunately.......

do you have the pic for that?

I'd have to go to my Dad's place to get my own pics, but here's the pic from the Schon website ...

Everything white is ivory.

I'm a Predator guy I have played with all but mezz cues so I cant say anything about them

Jacoby is second on my list

if you like a stiff shaft then I would go with schon

dont really like the others to much but could be the models I played with

Production Cue

Considering Production cue manufacturer's:

Artistic Design, Quality control, consistency of playability:
Schon has established this and still keeps it up. Limited line of cues.

Mezz is right there with them. Quality control and playability is right there, if not a notch above Schon. Artistic design is subjective, I am not always crazy about all their lines of cues. They do make an excellent effort to make cues for all aspects of the game. It seems they have an excellent R&D department. I do consider them a far bigger operation then Schon, therefore they get my vote. Caroline Pao is in charge of their USA division. They have emerged as a big player within the pool community. Tours and promotions a A+++++++

Jacoby. How can you not like these guys. On the production aspect it is going to be very interesting on where they go in the next few months/years. They could be on the verge of something really great.

On a slightly lower tier but respectable I would say look out for Lucasi and Pechauer. They are both emerging as good companies that put out a well designed production cue. They both have full lines of cues and are starting to promote and sponsor players and tours.

I agree, especially the comments about Jacoby and Pechauer. These are extreme quality US-made cues, with attention paid to every detail. I have a Jacoby cue myself (in the form of a Tiger Products' TPC-3 cue -- Jacoby makes all of Tiger's cues), and I marvel at how well made this cue is and feels. I have a friend who has a Pechauer, and I get this same feeling when I pick it up and shoot with it. You can "feel" the engineering and craftsmanship that went into it.

To expand one's ability to get a Jacoby or Pechauer cue, the following is helpful to keep in mind:

  • Jacoby makes all of Tiger Products cues
  • Pechauer used to make all of Predator's "Special Edition" cues. (They're now retired but certain Predator distributors/resellers may still have them in stock, probably at a discount. Mezz now makes the current line of Special Edition cues, as of this writing.)
Hope this is helpful!
