Guys, Here is a 2010 Southwest. It has an Alves forearm, and Birdseye points. Also has an Alves butt with the Birdseye band.

This cue has ALL the rings, and 2 Veneers....Red and Natural.

The cue was ordered to weigh 19 ozs on the dot. When it came it weighed in right at 19ozs, but my buddy did not like the thicker shaft taper that seemed thicker than the other new cues in the pictures. So he had the taper taken back a hair on one shaft and let the other the same as it came.

Both shafts have been hit. One has a new Kamui medium (slightly different tapered shaft) and the other has the original triangle that came with it.
Butt weighs 15.6 ozs and shafts are each 3.5 ozs for a total of 19.1ozs. Perfect playing weights

Both have barely been hit, and both have no bluing of the shafts or anything.

Cue rolls dead nuts apart and together and is as close to BRAND NEW as it gets. My buddy has quit playing pool and cue collecting so he doesn't need it anymore.

This cue will also come with a White Ostrich skin Centennial case. No pics of the case but it is in good shape and will go nicely with the cue.

Fantastic SW cues. That's how they should be made with all the rings..the full 9 yards.

Since one of the shafts have been re-tapered, was the work done by South West?

No Dickie, (Dick Neighbors) who is local to me and fantastic, just barely took the taper back a little to be more player friendly. He didn't take hardly any wood off and as a matter of fact the shaft Mic'd out at the same before and after. If just doesnt get quite as fat so quick. Laurie must have had a little thicker tapers than normal on here to hit the weight, thats all.

I understand, I was just showing my appreciation for that first SW, it's the best I have seen to date. Great combination of woods and colors.
The matching JPs are outstanding also.
 
Bump for a nice South West,I have hit a few balls with the Alves cue and it plays great.

Okay I like more than the maple,I better as I own two of the four shown,ran out of money or it would be three!

The only reason I can think of this cue still being available is tomorrow is Black Friday (first day of Christmas shopping :eek:) between Christmas and this economy things are tight :frown: BUT if you change your mind about the Ebony cue being for sale...... :)
