Contact Sterling or maybe John Barton. I'm sure they'll offer some help.

Manufacturing defect. Send it back for a replacement. Despite my best efforts the factory has a hard time doing what I ask and following my basic principles.

Do I just contact sterling for instructions on how to send it back,,

never had that problem but the zipper gave me problems. The part that holds the zipper pull broke on 2 of my cases.
other than that they are great cases.

I have had issues with my zipper on my sterling case. The lid zipper was to tight and it is now ripping the fabric.

To anyone any everyone, Sterling stands behind every product we make. If there is a problem with a product and it's our fault we will tak care of it.

With the cases we are bringing in there is an occassional hiccup in production. I have a lot of specific instructions for the factories that produce our cases and sometimes those instructions are not followed. The cases can be spot checked before they go out but there can still be bad apples in the bunch. In the past two years we have sold thousands of Sterling cases and we just replace the bad apples as they are presented to us.

Any time you have a problem then please don't hesitate to contact us first and allow us the opportunity to take care of it. Go to the retailer you purchased the case from and let them handle it.

To the person who said it's good customer service that I responded in 4 minutes....that was just coincidence. My reply would be the same but I jsut happened to be on when the thread came up.

i also had my side handle tear on my wave, though it was a different location, it was on the handle itself. sterling was great though, they replaced it with a new one.

What else could one ask for, Products, that they stand behind 110%.

I think we have all seen here yet again JB's Customer Service is outstanding. Any issues and you will have them resolved.

I have the same Wave Case, the top zipper was a little sticky at first. I loved the case and didn't feel it was bad enough to warrant sending back. So I used a very small amout, just a spot of candle wax on the zipper itself then worked the zipper a few times and it runs perfectly and has for 6 months.

There'll always be factory defects. Even those who use the 6-sigma approach in manufacturing wherein 99.99966% are expected to be free from defects would still have 0.00044% chance for defects.

A good solution for these inconveniences is GOOD after sales service program which Sterling & JB obviously have.

Hence, KUDOS to Sterling & JB!

Btw, my Orange Wave 3x6 case which is part of the earliest generation of wave cases in 2008 is still in good condition after more than 2 years

I will tell you this all the guys at streling stand behind all of there products . I do a lot of dealings with them . And never have a problem.
