For Sale: Cool HARVEY MARTIN Pool Cue with UNUSED TAD Extra SHAFTS

It was a good effort and i do appreciate it. The cue was a good deal.

Its a collector cue, and I think the lack of a 2nd (or 3rd for that matter the way people ordered shafts from Martin) original Martin shaft hurt the auction a little. The additional unplayed Tad shafts were nice, but for a cue that really wasn't going to be played (in all probability), maybe didn't add as much value as they would with a playing cue. Now, for a guy that owns a few big pin Tads, maybe that would be a different deal (if they would fit).

That's what I was banking on. 13.3mm shafts, very nice. They would have been a nice fit to one of my cues.

That's just the way I saw it (great minds blah blah blah). For most collectors the shafts added little value because they wouldn't be playing with the Martin. But for the right collector, a guy with some big pin Tads, he could get the Martin for fair value, and end up with 2 perfect oversize (want 13mm ? no problem, 12.75, no problem) new unhit beautiful Tad made shafts. What's that a $500 bonus?

Thanks for seeing it and thanks for the bid, sorry you didn't win

Thanks again

Chris

I got lucky.

You know, I thought I should have maybe took the Tad shafts out and sold them separately. However, in this case, I would have probably lost jason as a bidder as his interest would have reverted solely to the Tad shaft auction, and without his bid, maybe the Martin goes for $1000.

You're entirely right. I would have bid on the shafts primarily.
