Hello, do you realise that you are responding to a post that is 5 Years Old, by a forum member that has been Banned for at least 5 Years?

Just thought you may have missed it!!!!:p

It's an old thread, but amusing to see so many banned people in it!

First cue I owned, I had NO idea what to buy. So, like an idiot, I listened to the salesman and bought a hollow fiberglass cue. The whole cue was hollow! Made a real cute PING sound every time I hit a ball with it. Two months later I had to buy another cue because I was tired of everyone laughing at me and complaining about the pinging driving them crazy.:embarrassed2:

Your not kidding, I have never seen so many Banned individuals in a single thread, I bet this thread sets a record!!

Merry Christmas to all our Fallen Brothers!!!!!

Yes Thank you for the info

I should have followed my old saying

If I am going to take a hobby buy the best thing, wait until
your pocket can afford I will be happy later on.

So much is made about how GREAT a Predator is for deflection...well, what shaft or cue have you found to be the absolute WORST where the CB just squirted all over hell or you had much less control and couldn't make any where near the balls that you normally do??

For all the hype and how great it is...the unacceptable shaft for me is the Predator. I can't play worth a damn with one of those.

The predator is it for me, too. I have yet to hit ANY so-called-low-deflection-shaft that was comfortable to me. That means that I could make balls with, play position, etc. I tried a predator over a three month period of almost daily play and wanted to break it over my knee. I sold it and the Joss sneaky pete I was trying it on and never looked back. I recently tried TATE's Tiger X demo and was unimpressed. So far, standard shafts are fine for me.
So much for an old thread!

Z2

I love my Z2 shaft because it plays like a really good custom shaft even though its 11mm! No whip and normal deflection the best of both worlds in my opinion. Thank you KJCUES.

A 5280 sneaky was the worst I ever played with, but it could've been just that particular stick.

Unacceptable shafts and cues

I played some with a guys 6000 dollar Balabushka , it felt like a ball bat.
I had a plain black Meucci cue in the late 60s that played fine, every one I ever owned after that I couldn't make 4 balls in a row with from anywhere.
I got so used to mishitting balls I actually started jumping up even on easy shots.
I played with a Kersenbrock in the 80s and loved the hit, found out it was a fake and went to try out some real ones , I didn't like the hit.
I am playing with a Z2 Predator now and I am playing well {probably because if you don't make sure your mechanics are as perfect as you can get , you will have trouble with this shaft. } So I am setting up correctly more often I think than usual, and bearing down more on my aim and stroke.
Whatever the reason I am happy to be playing well, the shaft will do anything I could do before and actually has helped my draw stroke. {I think I am aiming lower on the cueball than I used to because of the 11.75mm shaft. } I used to use a 13

Had a new Meucci Gambler with a black dot shaft about 3 years ago. Plain and simple it was junk. Hated every thing about the way that cue hit.
