I will honor any requests you have about the material you show me for whatever length of time you ask me to.
I love to play 1 Pocket and I move and kick at a much higher level than I play because of my difficulty in pocketing balls at the same level.

I guess the supporters of Houle & his systems can start the flaming. This guy came to NH back in the mid 90's teaching these systems and a lot of people took lessons. Not 1 of them improved beyond a decent league player. FYI there is no magic formula, it's all about the $$$ to those selling this crap. Some people got it and some people don't. Hal Houle's aiming systems are not going to excell 1 person to pro level play and if there is anyone it does please let me know because I will kiss the a** of the pope.
 
Hal is a very old man in bad health. As you already know Stan teaches CTE
and Pro 1. Book Collector said nothing wrong nor was he flaming.

Everyone I ever talked to told me he taught it to them for free.
If it is free I have nothing to lose.
I have taught hundreds of people what I could over the years and never charged anything and never accepted anything but a coke once in a while if they insisted.
If someone charges thats their business.
I hope other posters will start their own threads instead of turning mine into a war zone about aiming systems
I am making a legitimate request to Mr. Houle and I have no other way of contacting him.
I have been told he reads this forum so I put the thread in .

I had heard he was ill but I just read a thread saying he had taught someone . I'm sorry, I did not look at the date, as usual.
 
I talked with Hal a few times ,3 to 4 hours probably.He talked i listened .I tried to talk ,he wouldn't let me, had to listen.
For his age he talked very WELL.
I hope you get a chance to talk with him,you wont regret it.;)
 
Good luck Book Collector with your adventure and I hope Hal is in good health. Hal extended a hand to me to teach me his system but I was not able make my way over to him due to my work situation but I hope that you can. He seems to be a wonderful man and wants to teach others just like yourself. You have helped me in more ways than I can mention here I hope that he does the same for you. Good Luck.
 
I for one, benefited from the poster that turned us onto the Ultimate Aiming System. I found a wide range of shots I can use the side of the ferrule to aim with.
I won't knock an aiming system until I give it a good try.
Looking forward to getting Stan's DVD in the near future.
 
I doubt that Hal haunts the forum anymore, due to the bullshit his teachings get from some people.
Do a search and you might find his phone number, I'm not sure it would still be current, though.

In case Hal doesn't give phone lessons anymore just invest in Stan's Pro One DVD, the cost is more then reasonable.

Maybe so, but I think a lot of players who learn something new realise it takes bunch of hard work, dedication and determination to reach the goal of Pro statu by putting in the time on that practice table.

Are you telling me that you have never learnt something new on the table, practiced it, and felt the benefit of it in the coming months? You might not have improved, but you feel you have because you can do it more consistently.

Stop slating people who want to learn of others!!!

Many many years ago..before I spoke with Hal...I had asked a very good local player...(good enough that he could have been pro if he wanted) If I should bother with calling Hal. (He knew everything about Hal and his methods, but used his own methods for alignment)

His comment is what actually made me call...He said.."It won't hurt you....even if you don't use his methods, you will gain tons of knowledge about aiming in general"

That was all I needed to hear so I made the call.....

My hunch is that many many pool players never look past the actual contact point to contact point when it comes to alignment.....

After speaking with Hal, it opens up a whole new world of using "aim points" vs "contact points" ......and many many new methods of alignment....You get to choose which one or a combination of which one works best for you..or maybe you just come up with your own supe mongo method based from all of the other methods you have learned or read about........but....if you really pay attention will at minimum gain a ton of knowledge and understanding of ball to ball relationships and methods for finding the correct aim line.
