if u read my previous post it was about i think i finally got my stroke online, and the years that i spent trying to fix it, were nothing to the one thing i just added to it....a minor tweek, in my arm, which is very painful and akward, but now my cue goes straight back, and straight forward, not offline, im gonna work on it alittle more, tell i have it down,

i have 2 questions reguarding this new change,

1.....now that i have made a slight tweek in my arm, what adjustments must follow with my stance,

2....it seems that with this better stroke, i can swing much softer, and still move the ball alot, well, i was shooting and swinging my normal stroke speed, and it just was too hard.....my Q is......with a good stroke, is it normal to take alot of speed off...

As for your stance,I cant say anything without seeing you play. But for question 2.....a cleaner stroke will tend to make the cue ball react more quickly.Any improvements/adjustments in your stroke will take time to get familiar with.

IMO slowing your stroke, aside from it's other benefits, allows your brain that extra spit second to assimilate the shot and play out what you envisioned before you got over the shot, thereby allowing the delivery to be more accurate.

A good stroke speed is far slower than what most players use to make shots, imo.

Slower stroke speed is a more positive stroke speed.

A good comfortable stroke speed for most shots is two table lengths.

If you shoot the cue ball two table lengths short rail to short rail you will see it doesn't take much speed to do that.

When you shoot most shots at that speed, you will be more accurate and object balls will fall more easily than if hit with quicker speeds.

(And in addition, a slower stroke speed doesn't mean a decelerating cue).
