SVB wins Master of the Table at DCC

All you fellas at the bottom half of page one, I got it now. He still got more pool to play. Only the semi's. He didn't win it yet.
Thanks for bringing me up to speed guys!

LOL, Terry.

BTW, Shane better hope for a better result than the first time he had to play Dennis in the finals of a big tournament. I was there for the first one and it wasn't pretty. I'll give some rep to the first person that can tell me what tournament it was and what the final score was. :)

The 2007 Enjoypool.com 9 Ball. Formery the BCA Open 9 Ball Championships.

No rep needed, we're maxed out.

correct

but what did svb do the following week???

If there are 3 events and you get 1st in one of them and 2nd in the other ...you are master of the table unless someone has more 1sts or 2nds in my book. Its a lot harder to get to the finals twice than to do what alex did. just sayin. Both played great this weekend however.

So you're saying it was harder for Shane to win 22 matches than it was for Alex to win 31? Yeah, that sounds about right.

I'm not trying to take anything away from Shane's DCC, I'm just saying that Alex was the best ALL-AROUND players this year.

It doesn't count toward the all-around, but Alex is also in the straight-pool finals.

Supernova you are right on the money with your post. Alex was definitely the best ALL AROUND player this week. alex had a 1st, a 3rd, and a 9th. 3 top 9's. Shane had a 1st, a 2nd and basicaly a last. The way they do the ponits is totally wrong if you want to find out who played the best all week. all the points should be proportionate all the way through. The way they do it now after the first 3 spots the points drop way off. 2 years ago i had 2 top 10 finishes and a 30th. i needed to win the 9 ball to win master of the table and i got 10th. Ask shane if he wants to play Alex an all around for $20,000 nope. Shanes win in the one pocket was a surprise but he played great and you cant take that away from him. Him and alex were definitely the 2 best this week but i think Alex had a better all around tourney.

I'm just going to say that Shane won it the way the system has been set up from the start. You can't take that away from him, so congrates Shane on another fine showing. Nice to see Alex back in the game also.

Anyone know why Shane didn't buy back in in banks? Surely there's a reason, right? I'd think he'd want as many points as possible in pursuit of MOTT.

Was he pacing himself?

Was he discounting the lesser points awarded in banks?

Did he have big action lined up?

:confused::confused::confused:

Regardless, Congrat's to the SD Kid, well done!

I'm not sure why he didn't, but when you're getting a free entry into the tournament the least you can do is pay the small buy back amount and give it your best shot.

"So you're saying it was harder for Shane to win 22 matches than it was for Alex to win 31? Yeah, that sounds about right."

So I guess your not considering how much harder matches get towards the end of a tournament, since your constantly playing players who are in dead punch. As for you sig. and 14.1 not being a game...so how much you know about pool. Most people hate games they cant play.... so I get, no worries.

Simple.....

Because DCC is in USA.. So SVB wins the Master of the Table....
If this event play in Phillipines i'm sure Alex will win the Title...

Why is so hard to everyone to realize this simple thing...
