A missed foul!!!!11

Bond just played an illegal safety with the yellow according to Shoot Out rules. The referees need to remember that the cue ball/object ball needs to hit a rail and not just touch.

I saw at least 2 occassions where players could've caught up with ball in hand.

The last yellow he shot, the yellow hit the rail just below the center pocket....

Are you talking about a different shot?

No not the finals. I think it was against Campell where he was snookered by the reds and he played a kick to the yellow. It hit the baulk cushion and then nudged the yellow. The cueball or the yellow was supposed to hit the yellow after contact.

I thought the rule was that a ball has to be potted or touch the cushion during a shot. So before or after making contact....

that was my understanding also when the rules were explained.

Different from normal snooker rules where no rail contact is required but not the same as other games where rail contact required after object ball contact.

A small nit: at golf (a game played in the US on snooker tables) cushion contact is required but may occur before or after ball contact.

While the format is frenetic, it's also continuously exciting. I think I like it better than the other form that was on a couple of months ago with the double scoring period.
