Just thought I would try to post a pic; JAM is the BEST, so lets hope she continues. Here is a photo of some of the local pros, sitting on the steps of Betmore's Basement (if they behave, we'll actually let them in to play next time).

Works Thanks Mike!

Where did you get this picture Cowboy?

This looks just like the movie I saw on TV when I was a kid and have been looking for this movie for the past 20 years.

Do you have any information on this photo or the movie it was a part of?

Thanks,
JoeyA

Oh gee, I looked at it a second time and see that it is only a billiard table.

The western movie I saw on television when I was a kid was in black and white and two guys on horseback played a game of eight ball for Ten or Twenty thousand dollars in gold and a Woman. The eight ball in the side shot was a tough one.

Your picture isn't the one I am looking for.

thanks anyway.

I was challenged by your question to CC, so I did a search. I couldn't find the picture you are referring to, but check this one out with Marlon Brando and Anthony Quinn. I'm not sure what movie this is, but I thought it was cool.

Here's an interesting movie: "Come Next Spring."

Description: Matt Ballot has returned home after 12 years of hard drinking in all 48 states. His wife has managed to raise their 14-year daughter and 12-year-old son nicely without his help. Matt is considered a disgrace to the town he came from and now he finds himself trying to win the love of his children, his wife and the respect of the towns people. Set in Arkansas in the 1920s.

Continuing my quest for JoeyA's cowboy shooting pool on a horse, I came across James Bond playing this odd-looking billiards game. What kind of pool game is this?

I think it's a game played in Italy but I can't remember for sure. It also reminds me of what is known as "Bar Billiards" in Great Britain but I don't think BB has holes in the table like this picture appears to have.

JAM,
The movie is "The Wild One", starring Marlon Brando and Lee Marvin (not in photo). It's about a biker gang terrorizing a small town.

That is NOT Anthony Quinn, just angry/biker/dude who looks a little like him. That photo is on the wall in Betmore's Basement.
