Boston area pool rooms

I was recently in Boston and stayed on Broadway in Saugus. I did the tourist things in town and went to Jillians which s*cked. Nice place but no real pool players. Then on the day I was leaving town I drove north on Broadway just for grins and about five miles north of Saugus there was a pool room that I stopped at and I could tell it was the nuts. That day it was snowing hard but there were about a dozen players in the place. There were billiard tables there. Anyway, I could only hang around for about thirty minutes because I needed to get to the airport but if I had known about this place I could have hit it a couple of nights.

Does anyone know what place I am talking about. I think it was called world billiards or world class billiards.

World Class is a pool players pool room. You can always get a game there. Tom McGonagle can be seen there (bet he would sign a book for you if you ran into him) and most of what's left of the Boston area players. Though I'm not a 3 cushion guy, I understand all of the major players have played there. This is probably Boston's oldest surviving pool room.

Next time you're in own town you should check it out.

"Where have all the pool players gone?
Long time passing.
Where have all the pool players gone?
Long time ago.
Where have all the pool players gone?
Gone to casinos everyone.
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?"
