Shaft that plays like a 314

I love the 314 cat shaft (not 2nd gen) and was curious if there is another shaft that feels and hits similar to it. I've never hit a Tiger X-Ultra LD shaft but from what I read it plays and feels better than the 314^2 and ob1. Is it similar?
 
there is a cue maker from the pakersburg wv area his name is dan trogdan........ he has an ld shaft its awsome best 1 ive ever hit with................builds what u want and how

If you can say what you like about the old shaft it would help.

Personally I was able to switch to a 314-2 from a 314 original and hardly noticed a difference.

I've tried the Ultra LD and it's a nice, solid player with similar performance characteristics as the 314 and 314-2. It's very neutral in the way it feels - no extremes at all.

I recommend the Ultra LD if someone wants a shaft with nice feel and feedback. If someone wants a stiffer, firmer shaft, the OB Classic is the ticket.

I don't think any other shaft plays exactly like a 314.Makes me wonder...can you still get the first generation 314 shafts unused?

I still play with an old 314 but its been sanded slightly and I sold my matching shaft when I was hard-up.

I found these online, they are factory seconds. I bought one to have as a backup shaft, but I ended up using it as my primary.
If the ring at the collar isn't a big deal (I know it can be for some people), then this is DEFINETLY the way to go.

If you are happy with the 314, why change?

The WD700 Shaft I think has a very similar hit to the Predator 314 shaft. It's a great low deflection shaft. I love my Mezz cue. It shoots as good or better than a Predator cue and Mezz cues generally are quite a bit cheaper than Predator cues.
