Can a G10 pin be removed?

Hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone here knew if a G10 pin could be removed in order to re-pin a cue with a steel pin. I know the usual method for metal pins is to heat them up and remove them, but I was just wondering if the same could be done with a G10 pin without it melting/weakening. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Brett.
