Earl/Shane Scoreboard

shane just looks completely disinterested in the match now. He played that last safe with a "wtf do I gotta do to get this break going and have a shot after" amount of effort

Shane breaks em hard again. Makes a ball. No easy shot on the 1 but the 4 is hanging in the corner pocket if he can get to it. Plays safe but Earl can see the 1.
Earl had a chance to get out but put too much juice on the 6 and missed it.

Shane teasing us with a near scratch but gets out.

60-46

Shane makes 3 balls on the break. Has an 8 foot shot on the 2....MAKES IT. Great shot.
Should get out from here.....he does.

60-47

I don't know what I think about the 10 footer. It's kind of nice to see for a change but nobody else plays on it so what's the point? It would maybe be better if they could move the cue ball around on the break. Every single rack is a grind with this format.

shane will not go quietly into the night.. earl still playing like a God.. but just showed a few lapses.

Don't get me wrong, I have all the respect for Shane in the world....but I hope Earl pulls this off!!! He really needs this match. If he loses this matchup, he may just crack up and be headed for the looney toon house.

But he better not lighten up at all, no matter what the lead, because don't never think Shane is OUT of any match. He just might sneak up and bite him in the ass...

just my .02...

I believe this was Earls requirement. Tougher to play on, got to shoot straighter,, more room to get the cue ball around table, and thus less luck..... a real test of skill llike the great use to play on in the early days....

Shane makes a couple of balls on the break but has to play safe on the 1.

Earl comes with a nearly perfect safety but Shane has a way out. Hits the 1 but finds a way to scratch. Shane just can't get this lead under 10.

Earl misses the 3. Safeties back and forth. Shane has a possible shot on the 3 but on the 10 footer he may not play the shot.....He spears in the 3 and is now faced with the 4, which he makes, another tough shot on the five, makes that too. Good grief this is tough work. Mommas don't let you babies grow up to be pool players.

Shane get out. Real nice.

60-48

He might be figuring out the when to spin vs. when to play center ball thing.

I have been hearing people say that but did they play a lot of nine-ball on ten footers? I know they played a lot of straight pool. Just wondering.

I"m not sure about 9ball,, but the greats of the 50's did with staight pool.... but 10 ball on a10 footers.,may the best sharp shooter win.

OMFG WHAT AN INCREDIBLE SHOT

shane is starting to figure out what he's doing

crowd erupts

Another monster break by Shane. He's getting his break going - no doubt about that. He had a good shot on the 1 and he was off and running. Had to use the rake on the 3. He wasn't sure about the rake shot. He really measured up the 3 and left himself a tough shot on the 4 - money ball. Slammed it in to the center of the pocket sent the cue ball around 3 rails and CLEANED OFF THE TABLE. CROWD WOKE UP AND CHEERED HIM LOUDLY!

60-49

The day is even. If Earl finishes the night only up 5-8 racks he can't be happy. Earl can't play any better than this with his break.

That shot on the 4 might be the most gorgeous thing i've ever seen.. what balls to shoot at it rather then go safe.

Safe battle going on.

Was Earl really wearing shooting range type "earmuffs"? I don't have the stream, so I'm only going by what I read here, which may be half in jest.

If he is, or was, am I the only person that finds this highly unnecessary and offensive to Shane? Seems like a major intentional and tasteless sharking move.

If I were Shane, and had to watch this, I would only be thinking about how much of an a-hole this guy is.

I really hope Earl didn't do that. It's beyond tasteless.
