If anybody has contact info for someone at Layani, let them know their website is trying to infect visitors' computers.

I also got a warning trying to get into the Gilbert site.

Someone must be messing with the cue makers.

That's weird. I have looked at my website fro many computers and I don't get this message. Maybe it's your antivirus?

I saw your cue collaboration with Tucker for the first time when I posted this (although it was posted in 2008), and was extremely impressed. Thanks for responding.

ESET is great, but it can definitely be too cautious. That's a price I'm willing to pay for the protection it provides. Thanks everyone who responded.

Hi all,

Aside from playing pool, I am also a computer software security researcher. I took a look at the layani cues Web site code for the page that popped-up in NOD32.

It looks like there is a remnant of code in the page that was possibly malicious at one time (maybe still is), NOD32 would probably trigger on the code even if it is no longer malicious. The code rotates out content, and it could be that if it is still malicous code, that it only sometimes serves-up the malicious code.

I contacted Layani Cues via email and let them know... Hopefully they will understand the importance of checking the Web site and purging the problem HTML.

Cheers,
Abs

Incidentally, I have one of the 3 (?) cues that came out of that collaboration - anybody have any idea what happened to the other two?

Thierry?

I'd love to see pics...

That Tucker guy (or his wife actually) had a son and never built the other two blanks. Maybe I need to add that to my to do list for this year.
