Is it possible to block any thread with the word "aiming"?

I understand...but you have to agree...with any method, development, product, etc...if you want people to believe in it, you have to promote it.

I am a person that does not listen to anyone else opinions, I pass my own. I have ordered and watch just about every educational/instructional DVD and read tons of books as well. A lot of them I have simply disregarded as "horrible" but I don't come on here and bash them, thats not what I do.

I have also watched videos that are amazing and hold a overwhelming amount of knowledge.

If your personally interested at all...once I get my DVDs and watch/apply the system, I will let you know what I honestly think. (not on the forums)

Sorry for the misunderstanding and I do hope that you are having a good day.

**psst. were probably some of the few in the world that can post at these times...good stuff. :D**

Carl

We do promote it. We talk about how it's helped our game. But the "CTE" thread started by James Roberts is a PERFECT example of the type of drive-by shootings perpetrated by naysayers.

Here is a guy who is a good player already, better than most on AZB, who asked for other CTE users to give their testimonials as to their improvement. The naysayers couldn't help but to jump in and RUIN that.

This happens over and over and over. And over.

Let's run that back and make it a thread where Pat Johnson posts that he ran 100 for the first time. If I got on that thread and called him a liar and said he didn't have proof and that I know his skill level and there is no way he could run 100 balls then I would be soundly slapped down for it.

But yet if we have positive thread where people are talking positively about their improvement after learning CTE it seems like it's perfectly ok for others to completely crap all over that.

Joey A posts a story about a young man in England who gave some credit to Stan and ProOne for his rapid improvement. The naysayers crap all over it.

So it's clear to me that some people are so emotionally invested in proving CTE is either useless or not as "exact" as advertised that they cannot ever disengage from crapping all over any positive promotion of the method.

For myself I started with this merely as a cheerleader for Hal Houle. I stood up when these assholes were denigrating Hal to be a character witness for Hal and a living testimony that his systems work, at least for me. I didn't really care to learn CTE. But then I did learn it and it's better than everything else. So now I have gone from cheerleader to practicioner to semi-competent instructor.

I agree...but i would be guessing here, that you have been around a little bit longer than I have.

You know these people exist. There is nothing you can do to change that. If someone is knocking the system that hasn't tried it, experienced it, learned it, or just doesn't like it, they are speaking out of ignorance.

I will decide for myself what I think when I see it, in full, and put it to practice. As in anything in life, there will always be people for it...and against it.

How do you think I feel when people protest with signs saying "Thank God for Dead Soldiers" or "Soldiers die because of homosexuality" or any of the other signs that the ignorant, degenerates of America want to hold up. There is nothing I can do about it, I can't walk up to them and shoot them in the face, you can't reason with them, they can't even explain why they believe what they protest. But it is something I have to live with that berates me to my very core.

Sometimes in life, you have to deal with people that you despise...because it is the price of freedom, and I fight to defend the very right for those morons to stand out there and attempt to belittle who I am and the sacrifice I make. and who make me feel like my friends who have given their life, gave it to be disrespected by the very culture or people they were defending.

**sorry, kinda got off topic and ranted...but point being, some people just have to be "dealt with"**

It is the knocking without trying that is the hardest to stomach. Many of us who use CTE feel that if the knockers would just take it to the table then a lot of the arguments would be gone.

We feel that the prerequisite for knocking ought to be personal knowledge of how the system is used.

But anyway, it's out of control on both sides actually. At this point pretty much everything that can be said has been said. For me personally I do think that the continued efforts of the naysayers has been beneficial to the pro-CTE people because it has forced us to work harder to figure it out enough to explain and teach it. And it resulted in a very good DVD being made about it which was long overdue.

I am confident that you will find that Stan's DVD will help your game and if anything is not clear then you have a good amount of help available here.

When I click the signature link, It take me to a post you made last December that has another link
( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/7023/ )

When this link is clicked on, it takes me to Firefox Add-Ons page, with the message:
" We're sorry, but we can't find what you're looking for.
The page or file you requested wasn't found on our site.
It's possible that you clicked a link that's out of date, or typed in the address incorrectly. "

I tried to do a search from that page for " super ignore ", but no results were found.

If you have another link that works, I'd appreciate it.

.

Be aware that the developer stopped work on this plugin back in 4th quarter of 2010. He also mentions that it's not going to work on Firefox 4, which is out now.

Bummer. Doesn't look like there's a version that is compatible with FF 4.0 yet.

There's a trick that works for firefox 3 and 4 to work around this.
type about:config in the address bar. Click OK to the next screen.
Right click an empty area, choose new --> boolean
type/paste this in the box that comes up:
extensions.checkCompatibility

Set that to false. Now firefox doesn't check for compatibility and will try to use
the extension anyway. Use at your own risk, but I suspect it will work.

I used to think that if I made my shot and shape that I aimed pretty good. Ater all these "aiming threads" I've now found out that I had no idea of what I was doing.

Now my head hurts, I can't sleep at night, my appetite is gone and I've gained 2 pounds. Please, How can I stop the MADNESS?

PS...Somehow through all this, I can still make the shot and play shape.

I think this thread got Highjacked buy the CTE guys

I also am beginning to get really crazy over this. At the table I find myself thinking about the jerks on here and what they say and it bothers me.

You should NEVER have posted this! Now every Tom, Dick, and Harry you ever match up against is gonna know how to get into your head.

Carl,

Those of us back here in the states can't stand it either. They may have an agenda, but as a father of a soldier and a vet, I say take it some where else! Thank you for your service and good luck with your game.

Best,
Mike

Sheeesh, it sure did. Note, I didn't pick on any specific aiming system. I didn't say whether they were good or bad. I didn't say what worked or what didn't work. I didn't voice an opinion at all...except that there sure is a lot of aiming threads.

I was having a little FUN and now this has turned into one of "those" threads.

I guess that if you get bashed enough, you think everyone is trying to shark. Kind o like Earl going off on the audience when they haven't even done anything...yet.

As stated previously, I do read the threads for professional reasons and I do get tired of both sides. I try to just read the posts that are actually teaching something, positive or negative. I find that I have to scan/skip many useless posts on both sides of the coin.

JB - Please, take a step back. Nothing is worth getting that all worked up about. Let the constructive posts, whether positive or negative, stand on their own. Your quick defense of a certain system is a waste of bandwidth. I would much rather hear exactly, in specifics, why and what is working for you. Of, course, that would be on another thread. Take care of yourself.

LOL - the guys I gamble with play pool and don't read AZB. No serious gambling happens for me through AZB. But yeah, all they would have to do is start in on how CTE doesn't work......

Um, I think that I offered everyone the way to block them all......

I am with you. But the fact is that the so-called skeptics will NOT leave a CTE thread alone. If they did then two things would happen. People who want to try it would discuss it and good information would flow from the people who know it, and also the threads would not have a lot of posts and would be buried.

But it's the CTE SKEPTICS who keep CTE alive on this forum. They take every opportunity to jump in and denigrate users and teachers of it and as such each of those CTE threads quickly turns into a flame fest.
