I do have the cue very close to my body - Kelly Fisher taught me that. But I still find that either cocking my hips, or leveling my eyes, helps. I think that sometimes when we're too tense OR too relaxed, we're not conscious of how we're actually looking down the stick...

I don't know about all this stuff but I took a lesson from a bca instructor where we discovered that my cue looks lined up straight when its on the right side of my chin. As apposed to directly under my chin like I was taught. I think that should be part of everyone's first lesson.

We need to go even further than that. You wouldn't believe how many player, even good players , can't keep everything right with the eyes and the cue.

Easier said than done. Unless you know which eye is dominant for sure when your down on a shot. This is the only way you can positively correct your aim on a shot consistently.

The correction is usually the same movement in the same direction.

If the eyes are lined up right it doesn't matter where that cue is one the face or chin.

I don't think making friends on a billiard forum has anything to do with real life. I know one poster here who shows lots of "Friends" on his AZB profile, but he lives in my area and is known by quite a few people in the local pool community, and I have yet to meet one who wants to admit to him being their "friend." In other words, he is the epitome of a PITA (Pain In The ANKLE ).

Now that is sad.

I know one poster here who shows lots of "Friends" on his AZB profile, but he lives in my area and is known by quite a few people in the local pool community, and I have yet to meet one who wants to admit to him being their "friend." Meaning, "I would rather someone else make a statement and then I can jump on either side of the fence depending upon which side I think will win. If I have to pick a side first then I am locked in and cannot change my mind later without looking stupid. I don't like that position at all."

But I will say this. To the poster who said Gene is full of BS and just trying to sell you something, you couldn't be more wrong. I have not seen one post where he said, "I have the secret to aiming, but to find out, you'll have to buy my DVD". In fact, every post I've seen, he's been willing to help anyone over the phone FREE OF CHARGE and has even given his personal phone number. And everything he's said seems reasonable and he has backed it up with evidence and fact. Sounds to me like he's doing a great service for the pool playing community. And if it helps him sell a few DVDs, great for him. One thing's for sure, I haven't read a single post from him that would indicate to me that he's a scam artist just out for your wallet.

I guess my biggest problem with an aiming system wouldn't be learning the system, but un-learning the way I've been doing it for over 30 years (playing since I was 5).

But maybe I need to take that step if I ever want to play at the next level, because doing it the way I've been doing it for 30 years, I'm probably as good as I'm ever going to be.

Well said Winston and I could not agree any more.. Gene talked to me several times before I ever decided to buy his DVD. Not once did he EVER ask for anything in return. He was very helpful to say the least.

Too many haters on here and I just don't get it. Gene has been a valuable contributor on here for some time IMHO..

I speak only from my personal experience You can learn Perfect Aim or CTE/Pro One. You can use them all of the time. You an use it some of the time. You can switch back and for the between different aiming systems WITHOUT penalty. At least that's been the case for me so far.

The same thing goes for PERFECT AIM and any other system.

One day I would like to be so ingrained that I only aim one certain way.

This is going to be a little far out but one of the reasons why (that I think) Perfect Aim works is that some of our eyes are not spaced the same in addition to the fact that we don't all see things the same.

Besides being one of America's TOP PLAYERS, Gene Albrecht is spending quality time learning even more about PERFECT AIM and the idiosyncracies of the way different people see. I think it is safe to say that Gene is establishing new methods for people to aim based upon their innate visual perspectives.

I agree, Gene is a credit to this forum and I'm glad to see him sticking it out. This forum can't afford to lose guys like Gene!
