Ok just a question of where to post... i have a collection of zippo lighters that i would like to sell ...i quit smoking a year ago ... and dont want them anymore... is there a right place on here to post this?... with pics and discriptions?...thanks for your time

What I would have done if I were you would be to have gone onto the Wanted/For Sale section here and advertised the lighters that had pool themes to them. That would have made for a legitimate sale thread as it WAS pool related. Then you could have mentioned later on in your post that you had various other Zippo's also. I'm sure there are people here interested in the pool-related lighters.

I would search for used Zippo's to find out how they're sold. There's probably even a Zippo owners group (ZOG). :grin:

I have a couple that are brand new looking, from the Camel Tour several years ago. One is Joe Camel and the other is a raised eight ball.

Looked on the internet and they are not worth much. Maybe in another 20 years LOL.
 
Yeah some are not worth much...most of mine are still brand new never used..with seal still on..I also have a camel eight ball zippo in the eight ball tin still brand new with seal on..I have limited edition ones all still brand new never been out of the boxes

I cant do it ...sorry i asked ...i dont want to be baned for doing something im not supose to ...so if i caused any trouble ..again ...i should have just read...thanks everyone
 
You will find eBay to be the best place to sell your Zippo's.

My brother-in-law has a huge collection and buys/sells them
on eBay exclusively. He recently found one at a garage sale
for $6.00 and sold it on eBay for $951.00 ...

What??? We can sell BOOKS and DVD's about pool on here but not a pool-themed cigarette lighter???? Really??? Weird!!!

Just an addendum.....If some have military themes, particularly specialized units made in limited quantities....ie...tunnel rats, sniper, EOD...etc...etc...there are many collectors that pay top dollar. Again these must be for a designated unit and not just a lighter with marine sniper emblem on it...Dan
