Ultimate 10 Ball Championships BCA, WBPA - Frisco,TX - $50,000 Added 4/21-4/24

It was a great event . Really nice venue . Frisco , Texas is a super nice place and the Embassy Suites is really decadent . That Angel Paglia is extremely impressive , and beautiful . Damn she shoots straight . The only person that can beat this woman is herself . When she gets used to being in the limelight she will dominate . What a beauty !!! Amy Chen is beautiful too , looks and her game !!! Jesse Engel played very well , a couple of balls and he would have gotten there !!! It was a first class event ... The attendance was a little light , I hope this event will happen again next year !!!:cool:;)

How much was the attendance fee for the day? Did they have a package deal for the whole tourney?

Tim...

There was no charge to watch the matches...

There was some V.I.P. seating that cost something, but otherwise all you had to do was find yourself a spot and bunker in...

You are correct, with it being Easter weekend the spectaor numbers where low on Sundays matches, but as a side note, the pool gods did make their presence felt with a clap of thunder seonds after the womens finals announcement and a rolling thunder applause seconds after the the men's final. I refereed two of Angel Paglia's matches and two of Amy Chen's and both of these players lost out to the roll of the balls. All of the players in the womens division showed extreme professionalism (if that is a word) :grin: Some of the luck factor rolls would have sent most players into a rant, but none of these pro and amateur status ladies flew off the handle. If you saw any of Kyoto Sonne's (Japan) matches, she was also very impresive. Congrats to all of the medal winners, Angel Paglia, Kelly Fisher, Alison Fisher, Jason Klatt, Jeremy Jones and Mike Dechaine. Mr. Klatt was the only player with a top ten finish that I did not have the privilege of reffing, though he was on a few of the closer tables to be seen between the racks and time outs during my referee time.
An incredible event, the first pro billiards event in north Texas in nearly 15 years, the last one was the pro event at CJs on White Rock lake 1996 where Mr. Wiley won the event over Earl Stickalnd and Mr. Strickland won the miliion dollar prize from Brunswick for break and running a perfect set.

Fasted set of a played match over the full 3 day event goes to Rodney Morris who completed an 8-0 win in under 24 minutes, that is with the alternate break format. :cool:

Badi, Ken, Zack, Megan, Kristy,Convention center staff, security and the many other people assisting behind the scenes a big Texas THAKYOU
:thumbup::cool:

15 Friday or Saturday 25 on Sunday, or 45 all 3 days, but free in standing out side the barrier. Easter weekend was the only open calender spot that did not conflict with other Pro billiards events world wide.

Did not have the honor of attending, but from what I could see on the stream and judging by the website and promptness of the updates and streams this was a wonderfully run tournament. I for one enjoy seeing big tournaments with a dress code, it makes the sport of pool seem so much more organized and official. I hope to see many more events just like this one in the future! :thumbup:

Who did Rodney play in that match? I loved watching all of and it was great to see Allison come from behind to win.

I asked in the chat room on the streaming page the first day how much it was & if it was sold out, the only answer I got (from several people) was that it was sold out, I would have loved to have been there every day for the whole thing, now Im just PISSED off to find out that to go and watch was free.....& the losers in the chat room thought it would be funny or whatever to just say it was sold out.... :angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:

You should have just come out there - hell, I would have bought you a seat - but there was so much going on - most of us wandered around watching several matches at once.

I was surprised to see Mando Canales playing in the tournament. Is he still living in El Paso?

Yes he is still here in El Paso. Mando had a great time - in fact... I don't think anybody had a better time - or more fun at this event than Mando Canales!

:grin:

It was awesome to see Mando back in his element & back where he belongs!
