Smoky Mtn Shootout...who is going?

I heard a rumor that they were not doing the wheelchair event again this year. Right now it is a rumor but if you know for sure either way please let me know.

There will be no wheelchair event this year. I don't know about the future but they said they could not financially do it this year.

This is a local benefit tournament with the proceeds going to the ARC of Haywood County. This tournament has been going for 22 years and it fills to 128 every year with a waiting list. There are many high profile players that attend every year. Past champions include Larry Nevel, Shannon Daulton, Keith Mcready, Stevie Moore and many other notable barbox players.

It is held the last weekend of every April in Waynesville NC at the fairgrounds.
 
The address for The Haywood County fairgrounds is 758 Crabtree Road, Waynesville , North Carolina. April 29, 30th and May 1st are the dates. The players meeting will be Friday night be there by 7 pm. Rounds will start Friday night.
 
Hey K how far from it is it to Asheville? I thought about riding down but may as well go to Biltmore while I am their. We are supposed to go to BM the 14th of next month but I saw this and might change my plans.

Less than a half hour. The tournament is just off exit 24 coming from Asheville you will exit and take a left and go about 2-3 miles and the fairgrounds will be on your left. There is a big sign on the road advertising the tournament.

I went their a few times but had lost the dates. I will check with the wife and see what she wants to do. Thanks for the info
