The easiest way is to first determine the cue's natural pivot length using the procedure described and demonstrated here:Is there a simple & objective way to determine the end-mass of a given shaft? I searched for this before posting but didn't really find an answer - maybe incorrect syntax.
My first thought would be to rest the tip side on a digital scale while supporting the joint side on a solid object of the same height, but I'm not really sure if or how the displayed weight would translate to the end-mass.
