Yeah I hear what you're saying. But on the other hand I have also seen other people calling Roy this and that and then when the story comes out it's not the same on both sides.
It's one thing to call a guy a thief and another to prove it. Just because someone feels like they lost in a deal doesn't equate to getting ripped off.
Ripped off is when someone takes money or merchandise illegally. I have known Roy for 15 years and while I have seen him be unkind to people I have yet to see any evidence that he ever stole anything from anyone.
So please forgive me but until I see the story and can get Roy's version I will have to say I don't believe your characterization of Roy as a thief.
I mean it's clear that you are convinced and sticking up for your good friend. That's fine. I am doing the same for my good friend. I know that my friend isn't afraid to tell his side of any story. So when you say Roy stole from your friend it's a serious accusation and should be backed up with some proof or not said.
John, If you have had a good personal experience with Roy Malott then good for you. My own personal experience with Roy Malott is that he is a liar and a cheat... and I'll be the judge of that.

This way you can form some sort of opinion about someone, based on their posts, so you can make a much more informed decision of whether you would ever want to meet this person in real life. john's ranting and raving about things is simply in his personality. Much like Marty Herman is crazy, John HAS to play devils advocate. John is a very smart individual who challenges himself through debate. I'm not defending him. Nor do I agree with most things he argues and says. I appreciate and understand many of his positions. He simply enjoys debating/arguing. There's nothing wrong with that because, without people like him, the world would be such a dull place.
He's a pain in the taint and hard to understand sometimes, but understand that even if GOD himself logged in and said something on here that was 100% accurate, John would find a way to question it and turn it into a debate/arguement of some kind.
It's not you or the way you think or the words you say. It's John and that's ok. Sometimes you just have to accept the role as the bigger man and walk away. Sometimes, you just have to say "John, you're right.", even if you don't mean it and call it a day.
Trust me, it works! I've done it with people like, Arnot, Dave Sutton and even Mr Wilson! My life is a lot less stressfull as a result of it
