It is an honor for me to be invited by the Barnett Family to produce the first Ironman Memorial!!
James Barnett aka Ironman or Ironman3844 on the chat rooms, left us on December 15th 2010. James had the respect of everyone he came in contact with. He was a loving father, grandfather and husband. He was a gentleman's gentleman in every way.
James was very involved in pool in Texas. He loved one pocket, bar box 9 ball and women's pool. He was also a well known player throughout the south who loved BIG action!
This event will boast 4 events in one ! A 9 Ball mini bar box tournament, a one pocket tournament, a ladies event and the main event 9 ball on the bar box!!
This tournament is made possible by The Barnett Family, Bogies Billiards, Jerry Olivier Custom Cues and PoolActionTV.
1. $500 added mini warm up tournament on Thursday June 30th starting at 8pm. 9 ball race to 5-4. $25 entry includes $5 reg fee.
2. $2,500 added One Pocket beginning Saturday July 2nd. limited to 64 players $75 (includes $15 reg/gr)
3. $1,500 added Ladies 9 ball Saturday July 2nd. Limited to 64 players $45 (includes $15 reg/gr)
4. $4,000 added 9 Ball beginning on Friday night following the advanced players meeting. $65 Limited to 128 Players (includes $15 reg/gr)
There will also be (3) Custom James Barnett "Ironman" Memorial Jerry Olivier cues for the winners of the One Pocket, Ladies and Open 9 ball division!! Total value of $2,500!
Each division winner and runner up will also receive a James Barnett "Ironman" Memorial trophy.
Ron Guyer will be on site doing Cue Repair and offering his usual extensive selection of Billiard Supplies.
Joe Salazar will have his extensive selection of cues on hand!!! He has cues ranging from $80 to $8,000!!
There will also be BBQ being offered at the event and T-shirts.
We will have advertising opportunities available on ALL table lights at a VERY reasonable rate.
