What do players want from a pool tour?

I have started a new pool tour - The Action Pool Tour (APT) - to serve the VA, MD, and D.C. region. The tour will hold weekend 9-ball and 10-ball events throughout the region with the goal of providing plenty of action for the players from start to finish. There's nothing worse than traveling several hours to an event just to be eliminated early because of a tough draw or a few bad roles. Event features will include the following:

Players Auction
Break & Run Raffle
Live Streaming all weekend
2nd Chance Tournament on Sunday
Ring Games (based on demand)
Onsite Cue Repair

However, I would like to hear from the players in this particular region. Please tell me what you value from a regional tour. Don't say the obvious answer: "more added money" or "large payouts" because everyone wants that. Tell me what other features or aspects make you want to play in this type of event. I look forward to the feedback!

Vist our website for all of the tour details and look up The Action Pool Tour on Facebook and click "like" to get tour updates!

Consistency, no surprises.

So far your on point. I'd like to see some 8 ball event's and possibly banks, or even ring game event's.

Consistency, no bull when it comes too money . Fairness, and give back to the players..

Above all things players want decent prize purses. If a player who usually finishes between 15th and 8th could make 80,000 dollars a year after expenses that would be a dream for everyone.

If you advertise a specific payout then when the time comes you should be good for it.

Sundays should start earlier if possible, but more importantly Sundays need to be wrapped up at a decent time so people can travel home and make work Monday mornings. Too many events run so late into the evening/night and if you have a 2 hour trip or more its too much for the working players.

Played a tourney recently that started at 2:00pm on Saturday and the room opened at 11:00 a.m. Thats fine as players might be traveling in to play the tourney. Now on Sunday that same tourney resumed at 2:00 pm and ran WAY into the late evening. This is one example where they could of started Sunday very soon after the doors opened.

Your point cover about 90 % of the Problem in Pool. like the RECENT EVENT IN Reno, Nevada at the Casino where Winner were not paid. When was the last time at PGA Event (Pro Golfers) Stiffed Winners.

If you are talking about a "pro" tour???

I would love nothing more than to get dental, health, a 401 K plan, and a w-2 with a salary of no less than 25K a year, that would make me happy.

Then I woke up, and remembered the last time I was on a "pro" tour, and I laughed myself to sleep again.

Sounds like you have some great plans. I wish you the best of luck, and hope the tour is successful.
