Lost my head, I'm sorry

This thread is in reference to the refund thread. I have to explain that a lot of time effort and money went into the Bad Blood event. All went well with the exception of the PPV and the company that was handling the tech end of things. As it turns out one of the if not the most important part of the production. As you can imagine very frustrating for all concerned.
In the midst of all the problems that had to be handled I recieved an email from Richard Edwards (Justabanger2). He had a legit complaint and although I may have taken it out of context. I held a grudge about the email that I should not have done. It was childish really and held that grudge even up until a hour or so ago, I have said some things that I should not have andfor that Iam sorry and want to appologise to Richard (justabanger2). I am also sorry to anyone who took offence to my statements. Most of you know that this is not like me and I am usually very easy going and don't try to get into pissing contests too much.

As soon as I get Justabanger2's paypal I will get it taken care of. I feel like crap right now as I hate to not get along with people. I hope that all can understand a little of what wentonand the reason I lost my head a little. Not saying I am justified. Thanks for listening.

It takes a big man to admit his mistakes, and a better man to make them right.

Nicely done, all around.

Still up there in my books. Made a mistake, corrected it, apologized. Did everything you had to. Thank you for everything you try to do for our addiction.

Paul

Mark;

You were obviously frustrated, you messed up, you called yourself on it, and apologized to the man.

Now, you are waiting for his info so you can square up with him.

Hopefully, he'll accept your apology.

We all have our moments.

All's well that ends well.

Best,
Brian kc

Mark things like this build character....Not just for the folks that are involved but with many of the members that read this forum. You are one of the good guys here and you continue to prove it.

Streaming is new and by far like turning on cable TV. It IS going to have glitches. I also understand the economy isn't the greatest but for $25 I think it all ended well after the 1st day. Anyone who actually truely supports this sports should accept it and appreciate it for what it is, NOT be asking for refunds on $25. JMHO.

Mark, I except your appology the only thing that really got to me was you same as called my a thief hinting that I was trying to get paid twice. To me a liar and a thief are the same cause a liar steals the truth. I hope we can both put this behind us. If I ever see you in person I'll be the first to extend my hand. Richard Edwards

That is pretty big of you Mark. After fading all the stuff with the steam, you still take the high road. I will be purchasing the next Bad Blood match up even if I have to work. Thanks for your hard work.

I'm not about to tell you what to do with your money. But if I buy a new Moori tip or a cube of Kumui chalk. I think I have the right to get what I paid for and I don't see the differents here. If you went out to a movie. Bought you ticket got seated and all you got to see was to first 15 min. of the show would you want a refund? I would but thats JMHO.

I'm not telling you what to do with anything. I do agree with you 100% on your "other" examples. But unfortunatly I just don't see net streaming in the same catagory. It is NOT like a movie or a moori tip. It has a very good chance of glitches. People cannot control connections or in this case the Promoter had no control over Ustream's screw up. Feel yourself lucky there are even people out there doing stuff like this so we can see it as you certainly aren't going to see it at a MOVIE. If the $25 effects you that much you have every right I guess to ask for a refund. But on the flip side things like this over $25 if it doesn't effect your household is a prime example why pool is what it is, some guys just like to complain & take in but give nothing back. To each their own, just remember Karma comes around for everyone.

I'm on a fixed income so I do have to watch my money close so $25 to me my not be the same to you. If that's the case for you your a lucky man. If your saying I've got some bad Karma coming from wanting what I paid for I guess I'm not the only one. Did you play at a tournament at Big Dogs in Des Moines a few months back?

That is why I said IF it effects your household. I know the situation of the economy and not everyone is in the same boat. I didn't mean anything negative by it. Unfortunatly there are plenty of people that will take even though they may not be in your situation, just the way it is I guess. Hopefully everything works out for all parties involved for the better.

No to the Iowa tourney. I'm on the east coast.

I have never asked for a refund from any sponsor streaming a PPV match. I will not purchase anything by Mike or You again. People says, you shouldn't complain it's only $ 25.00. Well if that is the point, everyone that feels that way..send me $25.00. Someone marketed a product to sell, and could not provide the service that they sold. Then a " Bad Blood " DVD set was offered for sale with these comments, FOR SALE BAD BLOOD DVD MATCH STRICKLAND AND ARCHER....but sometimes you can watch it, but other times the picture has major flaws and it goes of a lot on the 1st day, but the 2nd day is much better. WHAT A GREAT WAY TO ADVERTISE YOUR PRODUCT. That's like buying a dvd series from the store and saying " great Movie, only shuts off and on for the first 6 hours but after that it works pretty good. How many people would have accepted that dvd series and how many would have returned it to the store for a refund ? Like I said before...you have a right to run your business for whatever profit you see fit, just that I will never support Mike or Mark in the future for any productions they put on for Pool. In my own honest Opinion I think they should have Earl and Archer play the match again as a PPV, an let the ones who paid for the 1st one view it for free, and the new people pay to watch. The answer was always...we're not making any money, we can't afford to do this and that...that is a bunch of B*** S***t. Learn the rules guys:SOME TIMES YOU HAVE TO SPEND MONEY TO MAKE MONEY. I think you are going to lose a lot of future business by the way this adventure was handled. " The moral of the story is: YOU SOLD A PRODUCT TO PEOPLE THAT YOU COULD NOT AND DID NOT DELIVER AS A WHOLE OF $25.00. That's like buying a wagon for your kid to ride and every 3 hours the right wheel wobbles and falls off, WELL IT WORKS SOMETIMES. But knowing this, you would never take it back to the store and ask for a refund because the wagon doesn't work like it should work, am I right, you would gladly keep it because it works sometime. Whoever wants to take the hit on Bad Blood should have done the right thing from the start, there was a bunch of trust being lost from this event, and I think it's going to show when you put on your next event. I know one thing for sure the 1st $25.00 I spent for " Bad Blood" WILL BE THE LAST $$$$$$$ OF MINE YOU WILL EVER GET. GOOD LUCK IN YOUR FUTURE EVENTS

Ok, well eerm wow. I understand that for a period the feed was bad and to try and fix the problem we put the rest event out for free. Then on top of it I have offered refunds. I am not exactly sure how you want me to make things right with you. I learned alot from this experience and hope to do better thenext time but other than putting it out there for free and offering a refund I really don't know what else there is to do to make you feel better. TVMike has the rights to the DVD and this has nothing to do with me so I can't offer free or discounted DVDs. Anyway if you have any other ideas that you think would be better please let me know. Thanks and sorry you had a bad experience

And I rest my case!

You can't compare watching a movie to a ppv streaming event. Movies have been being showed at theaters for hell if I know how long lol a long time! The got it down to a science lol Streaming is so new that honestly I would expect glitches. Just as I'm not upset when watching Netflix on my iPad and the streaming has hiccups. Its annoying but it's a relatively new technology so shits gonna happen.

To the gentlemen who said how much 25 bucks is a lot of money to him I feel for you and hope things get better financially BUT if money is that tight you shouldn't be spending it on a web cast. I feel the same for you as someone who's struggling to make ends meet but is still buying lottery tickets lol
