Yeah, I'm having one of those periods of time that some of you complain about every once in a while. I have been working on my son's house doing renovation stuff that I have to learn as I go along. I'm pretty good at the demolition stuff.:D The rest I have to have my contractor buddy on speed dial most of the time. Today, I had to call him to tell me how to remove some window trim without destroying it in the process. :) Yeah, I've led a sheltered life. What can I say.

Pool has become almost a chore, ever since DocHutch started me back on the fishing. I've always loved fishing a great deal. It's been in my blood for a long, long time. We haven't really started hammering the fish just yet. Too much wind, which means dirty water, which means less bites.

We've caught some fish but after a couple of more trips I will be dialed in on the fishies and will put a hurt on them. :yeah:

I still play in the tournaments at Buffalo Billiards but even they don't hold my attention like they used to. I practice and have learned some more stuff. I even have a new shaft but I'm not liking it as much as I thought I would. I'll always come back to pool but for right now, I seem to missing a lot of pool days and it is as if it really doesn't matter. I know it probably won't be too long before I get the passion back but for right now, I am happy just to be tired and staying home.

JoeyA, just a whinin'.

It's summertime go fishing...see you in the fall.

P.S. Did you call the Poet for constructions advice? :)

maybe

Bender will make you a custom rod n reel ??It's good to have a life and a home outside the pool room.A guy I talked to last night pretty much stays
at whatever pool room he can all day when they are open, has no where else to go.........just a thought.

I hear ya Joey and I'm in the same boat. I used to play about 5-6 times a week. Last 6 months or so I play maybe once a week. Lost my desire to complete and play at the higher level.

Speaking of fishing, goin to my family's cabin next week fishin!!

Time to catch some Trout :)

Take care....

Hey Joey,
It's okay to take a break. I have 2 jobs and a young family with very little time for pool. At the moment I have time to play some pool but it will be a very short window.

Most of my free time is spent trying to be the best dad I can be, with that said I am always going to need at least the 7.

Take time out, fish, travel, watch some movies and then get back to pool.

Life is about following your muse, if pool aint it at the moment do something else.

I hope to make another trip to New Orleans this summer and I hope to see you there.

Billiards or Fishing?

Well I finally figured out that it does not take 55 gallons of gas to fill up my Huebler, nor my Joss, nor my Schon. But that bass boat is sure one thirsty son of a gun.

Fishin

It's fishing season again and we are ready. It is OK to have more than one hobby, right?

Always be careful what you wish for.

We all have periods where our enthusiasm for things slacks off....
Enjoy the fishing! I know you'll have that gorgeous cue "working" again when you wish it to. :)

I hear ya! I've begun a new hobby that may take the place of pool, something I wouldn't have thought possible a few years ago.
Metal detecting, starting slow, and the heat is too much in the afternoons but it's nice in the mornings.
My current physical condition kinda limits me too, at the moment. It'll get better as I go, I hope.

I feel yea JoeyA. With all your new skills learned doing renovation you could probably whip one of these babies up in a quick hurry.

DUDE! :D

Metal detecting was one of my favorite hobbies. I can't tell you how many hours my son, wife and me have had digging up "treasures". We found plenty of them too. Lots of hours, lots of sweat and lot of fun.

We did the beaches, the old sites, the parks, old houses, old cemeteries (around them, not in them) plantations, and even the backyard. I still have a high end Fisher for coins and a Troy for civil war stuff, gold and anything else I can find. For the moment they are on "ice". Still
metal detecting is a GREAT hobby. ENJOY!
