Jose Parica Predator Pool Cue on eBay

I don't know if it's real or not but, pretty cool if it is.

I would run from that sale. There is no Predator logo, no signature, no photo of Parica with the cue, no letter from Parica...absolutely nothing that would prove any provenance of any kind.

Run as fast as you can unless there is documentation with it. If it's not what it is portrayed to be it's already over priced.

I wish it would have been posted this weekend. Jose was at the Maryland 14.1 Open and I could have asked him about the cue. I talked to Jose about his not being in the HOF and he told me since he was nominated 3 times and didn't get enough votes that he has to wait another 5 years. He was actually laughing about not being in and said that maybe when they run out of good players to induct they will vote him in.

look close at the cue

the shaft is not spliced like a predator, the wrap is extended, the butcap looks like a thin piece of elk horn nothing like a pred. It looks like a custom job with one of those old predator blanks. Doesn't look bad, just really misrepresented.

I bet the reserve is like $500 or some crazy shite. If Jose is a personal friend of his, you'd think he could've at least got the thing signed by him.

However, it not having a laminated shaft, actually makes me think it may have been his. Most real good players prefer non laminated shafts. At least the ones i know.

Curious to know what you guys think it's worth if it had a letter with it or was signed by Jose?

Honestly, I don't think it would be worth all that much, if it was simply a cue that he owned. Most players have "owned" several cues.

If it was a cue that he played with for a while and won something with, then it might be worth some money, but you need photos of him in a tourney playing with it or a letter saying he won something with the cue. Seller really should have gotten him to sign it.

As it is, it does not appear to be much more than a Predator SP blank with a solid maple shaft. Nothing fancy to give it value, and not in pristine condition. A few hundred tops, IMO.

The guy said he backed Jose in the world bar table tourney in feb this year, and he played with it, and gave it to him as part of his winnings. I think he is willing to either get it signed, or a letter. He said Jose moves around alot, but it would'nt be a problem when he comes around. Imo, it would have to be efren's to fetch $850:thumbup: I did bid on it tho anyhow there at the end. I liked it because it looked like it was the 5/16-14 piloted, which imo are the only ones to have:thumbup:
