Kid Delicious in Myrtle Beach 8/27/11

Danny Basavich AKA "Kid Delicious" will be at Myrtle Beach's newest billiard room Shore Thing Billiards (942 Lake Arrowhead Rd).

The event is Saturday August 27 at 8:00 PM.

He will give an exhibition of trick shots and stories from his years of pool hustling.

Various side events will be held before and after the main event.
Challange Matches. Play Danny (for a small fee) 1 rack of 9-ball, if you win you get your money back plus win a prize.

Danny has a very charismatic personality. The first time I ever met him, I was intrigued with how personable he was. When he speaks with you, he looks you directly in your eyes and doesn't let anybody else interrupt the colloquy. He gives you his undivided attention; in other words, he's not only a good speaker, but he's a good listener. It's a rare trait. :cool:
 
Here's a cute pic of Danny. 2004 was Danny's year in pool. He won the Reno Open, the Joss Season Finale in Maine, a Joss Tour event two weeks before he won the finale in Maine, and there's another one I can't remember right now. He also came in second to Hillbilly in the Glass City Open. :smile:

That's a good picture of Danny. I read the book Running the Table twice, and then finally got a chance to meet him a couple of years ago at the SBE. He was a very polite guy, I hope he makes a comeback in a big way!

Danny is excited about coming. He wants a lot of challengers to play against. We will have a raffle and plenty of signed merchandise to sell. Daddy Delicious will be there also and have a lot of vintage Kid D. dvd's for sale.

Anybody got a link to that video where Danny hustles the two inept hustlers?? Very funny!! Especially the one bit where the one guy shoots from under the table :lol:
