Tips....
As working owner (and by working, I mean I do everything), I never expect a tip. It seems most people figure owners don't need/want tips. I kind of figure whether they tip me a dollar or put it into one of the coin-op tables, I still get it...
As far as tipping for table time...it would never occur to me to do that. I don't tip the person taking my money at the movie theater...or the Walmart employee ringing up my new Budweiser Cue (okay...just kidding on that one...). I figure the set price is what I'm expecting to pay.
As far as tipping waitstaff...I'm all for it! However, I tip for service...meaning if I have CRAPPY service, I don't tip. If it's really good service, I tip over and above the "average".
If I have really crappy service, I have no problem informing management. However, I'm MORE LIKELY to seek out the owner or manager to inform them when I've had OUTSTANDING service...as I think most of us forget to pass on the positives when we have that "extra special" service from the person waiting on us...sometimes that can be as good or better than the tip we just left.
