What ever happened to Dave (Underdog) Chartier, a good player who used to own Break Zone Billiards?

Hey Ed,

I saw Dave at the BCA expo in Vegas (July).

Did not get a chance to talk to him- he looked the same.

As of a few months ago Dave had a Billiard supply business called "Break Zone" in Bellflower, Ca and was also working in real estate. Stops in Hard Times from time to time and plays before going to work and still plays good.

But as his nickname goes, not as good as his opponent EVER...;)

Best kick shot

Does anyone remember about twenty years ago when Dave Charier, while playing a 9-ball match, made possibly the most remarkable kick in the history of the game? Having no path to the one he fired 'whitey' the long way and, quicker than the eye could see, came off both points of the corner pocket, then hitting the one ball hidden behind the pack along the short rail and pocketing it in the other corner. That shot, and whole table layout was diagramed in a local pool mag. Can anybody help me find it again?
