We are very pleased to announce that we received our confirmation from The Pepsi Bottling Group committing to their sponsorship of the U.S. Open 9-ball Championships for this year and many years ahead. We are confident that the Pepsi Bottling Group will benefit by associating themselves with a major consumer involvement sport such as pocket billiards.

Hopefully, with Pepsi coming aboard, other major sponsors will realize the value in addressing a market that encompasses the many millions of 9-Ball enthusiasts in this country and around the world.

We want to thank Pepsi for taking this giant step forward and would encourage all the fans and players to remember who stepped forward the next time they order a soda. If we are to grow this sport rapidly it will be through our own efforts in supporting our sponsors.

So, my question is, what exactly is the Pepsi Bottling Group doing? In what way have they sponsored the event, and what will the participants see from it?

Pepsi marketing power really could make a difference for pool...
 
This is good news. I hate Coca-cola. All I drink when it comes to soda is Pepsi products. I too would like to know how they are sponsoring and to what extent.

I think I will send Pepsi an email thanking them for their sponsorship and pledge my allegiance to their products in return.

That is a great Idea and worthy of it's own thread..... Looking for the email address now....
 
Sponsorship ca be as little as putting a banner out and paying some small fee for it or supplying some drinks. Or, is could be big depending on the exposure.

I hope Pepsi wants a major sponsorship for US Open! That would be great.

Now we need to get JA to do a Mtn. Dew commercial showing him playing some pool in the spot!

That would be cool as I am a Mtn Dew addict.
