Semi-Finals of USA: Williams defeats Archer

CW has come a long way in his game. I recall him mentioning in the 2006 DVDs that he had just taken up learning straight pool.

Apparently getting put on the clock didn't affect him too much. Did he pick up the pace after this happened?

from the stream it looked like it. it definitely messed Archer up.some players told me shot clock actually is in favor of Williams because he likes to play fast naturally. we will see....

No he doesn't. It's just all his movements that are fast, but he isn't known as a fast player.

That's right. You can -- on a single shot -- get down, back up, down, back up, down, back up, etc. at the speed of sound (e.g. moving like Agent Smith in The Matrix, stuttering sound and everything), but in the end, the shot hasn't been executed until the trigger is pulled.

"How did you do that, CW? You move just like 'them'." :D

Wasn't the tourney supposed to end on Saturday or Sunday? I mean if it's about to end now on Friday, is a shot clock really necessary? :scratchhead:
