Shaft Wood All Grades On Sale!!

Coring Dowels: We took all of the shaft blanks that didn't make the grade as shafts because the grain runs out at one end. So, these could be between 6-10 or 20 Grain per inch. Then we doweled them all. So, they are all 30.375" long, you will get at least an 18" coring dowel that is nice and straight out of each piece. Some could probably still be used as shafts even, and good shafts at that.. They just had run out on one end for a could inches, so because these are 30.375" long, you may still get a good shaft! I have 220 of these first come first served! $3.00 each! WOW! WHAT ? That's right, $3.00 each!
16)$48.00 36)$108.00 50)$150.00 64)$192.00 + Shipping

Custom Grade: Lower Ring Count 6-10 GPI, grain wiggles a bit or has a gentle rotation around the blank. No hard turns in the grain. Good for sneaky's or lower end cues. $4.50 each WOOOOO!!!! If you buy 50 or 64 of these shipping is FREE!!!!
16)$72.00 36)$162.00 50)$225.00 64)$301.50 + Shipping

Howdy,
Just a few quick questions to ask.
While having some phen. ROD on hand for when it's needed makes good sense,
do you have any plans on handling TUBE?

The Aegis ferrules that you've listed, what version are they (how old)?

Incredibly impressive shaft-wood BTW.

Hey there kj, well I really don't have any plans on carrying tube, I'm selling the black rod for cheaper than you can buy 3 lengths of the equivalent tube, so is it really necessary? As far as the ferrules go, they are a few years old, and I believe its the original aegis material. And thanks for the compliment on the wood, it really is nice! If you have any other questions let me know! Thanks, Geoff Dilley

Rod vs Tube

Boring out rod is horribly messy, that is why I asked as well. I'm not sure how you are finding rod to be cheaper than tube either....

Trent, if you have a problem with a user then either start a thread to deal with it or PM them to resolve the issue. Do NOT hijack their threads to get your point across.

Is your black phenolic rod "Double Black"? Meaning that the canvas or linen it's made with is also black before it's saturated with the resin and formed by the mandrels. I'm only aware of one manufacturer who makes it.

Royce,

I'm not able to answer "Is your black phenolic rod "Double Black"? Meaning that the canvas or linen it's made with is also black before it's saturated with the resin and formed by the mandrels." But I got some a couple of days ago and was interested in what it looked like under the finish coat. So I turned it down a 1/16" or so to get past the finish coat. Here's what it looks like:

It's pretty black IMHO.

Phenolic

Hey Gary, thanks for posting that picture. It gets even blacker when it had a finish put on it. I personally do not see any difference between the look of this material and the double black when it is finished.

Royce explained a little more in depth today why some of the high end cue builders like the double black. So I sent him a piece to test out and see if my material is up to par with what is needed on his high end cues. Hopefully it is up to par, like I said, I can NOT see any difference as far as color or the weave goes from my Black Phenolic to the Double Black.

We will see.. If anyone else that has bought this material sees this, and has worked with it and maybe put a finish on it, can you weigh in with your opinions as well please ?

Thanks,
Geoff Dilley

Seriously! I paid for these Thursday afternoon and they were here today around lunch time..... what, 48 hours to my door?! I bought some AAA+ and AA+ and they look really nice. Super straight, tight grain on the AAA+.

I told ya Bryan, I am aiming for the fastest shipping in the business. I'm glad you're satisfied with the shaft wood. Send me some pictures when you get some finished shafts made up. That would be fantastic!

Thanks again, Geoff
