I see one advertised for sale. Any horror stories/or areas of concern to focus on while looking at this table? I'm guessing about 1965-ish? Reminds me of a Gold Crown of that period.

While searching the forums, I ran across a discussion of 'Manhattan - Rubber/Raybestos K-66 cushions used for this table at that time. Is there availability of these? or is a modern updated cushion recommended?

Any slate issues(thickness/pinned/backed)? or rail attachment bolt type considerations to be aware of?

Thanks for any help

ps-anyone have an opinion of a range of value for this model table, assuming good/fair condition?

I'm the one who talked about Manhattan raybestos cushions. They are no longer available. I wish they were, great cushion!.

The AMF grand Prix was a great table for the era. Same frame as a Gold Crown, very unique leveling device between the top of the leg and the frame on the early models. Used real slates, pinned and doweled and had a very quite ball return system. The rails attached with a standard 3/8 bolt.

Very good tables and usually don't bring much money used.

Very cool retro table indeed! I have seen over a dozen of these in the last few years. I have an 8ft currently. The coolest thing on the table is the frame and leg design. It is a pain the in the ass to work on, but very unique and solid build. Also, you can easily change the color of the skirts and legs with new vinyl. Powdercoat the aluminum and spec out the rails and you will have one sweet table.
